A Villain doing BAD things in a story, is NOT problematic because NO ONE is acting like this is okay. You're not supposed to like him. This is the guy we want to see get murdered and this is meant to be one of the primary reasons WHY.
You know what IS problematic though? Taking out a core element of what makes one of the main characters who they are and which is the focal point for their ENTIRE CHARACTER ARC.
I haven't even watched Avatar (really something I need to do at some point) and I'm getting angry for its fans at this point 'cause this is gonna be an absolute dumpster fire, that may even make the MOVIE look good by comparison.
Broly being introduced at any point in DBZ would have ended whatever saga in a flash

EDIT: @Adamant soul @Paxton They got us, this shit is apparently fake as fuck from another picture showing Zuko has a burn mark.
This is most likely a huge rib on the fact that Sokka lost his character development.
