If you want to make the good guys have a legit win, yeah, you CAN have them do that and it would actually keep Sukuna as the powerhouse that lost because dude at the end of the day was a cocky fuck who lost because he was a cocky fuck. Gilgamesh lost because he was a cocky fuck and so did Vegeta, Frieza and god knows how many antagonists I can name.
You don't NEED to make a Madara to have a villain be strong.
That would diminish both Sukuna and Gojo.

Who fucking cares about Gojo being diminished, he did the biggest amount of damage to Sukuna possible(Which is still affecting him even now) and is the reason why the good guys will maybe win, how is that diminishing him in general?
For the millionth time, you guys are always doing these false equivalencies. Madara and Aizen both showed no faltering and took virtually no damage at all until it was time for their defeat (besides the might guy shine with Madara).

Madara: Damn near loses to the Five Kages because he was a cocky fuck and gets absolutely wrecked by the Bijuu(Which is it's own set of asspulls to be frank as he should be dead, damn the Sage Mode). He already mentioned Might Guy but acts like that was the only time Madara took damage till Naruto and Sasuke came back.
Aizen: Gets slashed by Shinji, has to switch with Momo because he nearly died to the Captains, needed a Kidou Shield to the back of his neck, Yamamoto damages him with his Kidou, Ichigo nearly cuts him in half, Isshin drains him to shit and he goes through multiple evolutions through Urahara, Yourichi, Isshin and Gin explicitly putting him at death's door each time.

Sukuna is clearly accruing damage and strats are working but he's the strongest in history, he's not just going to go out with a whimper.
He. Killed. Satoru. Gojo! He absolutely destroyed Shibuya! He killed multiple Special Grades like it was nothing and ultimately fucked the entirety of Japan completely and utterly.
