That's some Nen shit right there and should have been exploited more. Even the Nen stuff is more punishing.
Sukuna doing gang signs is apparently enough for a Vow. Screw all the people who have to do that shit to activate basic techniques.
Why doesn't Yuta make a binding vow of sacrificing 10 of his copied CT to make Jacob Ladder instant erase sukuna from Megumi body?
Why doesn't Yuji make a binding vow that let him 1 punch sukuna for sacrificing his own life(which is what Yuji would do)?
Binding Vow is such bs and gaygay is just covering up since he drew the hand sign and chant already. (Btw those are definitely not "ah he's restricted" panels but "look cool" panels.)
See this guy gets it. Whether or not the situation is taken into account, there are ways to abuse the hell out of the system by either sacrificing minor things for seemingly minor advantages which are actually crucial at the moment, or nothing being worth enough to get you out of a decisive defeat which sukuna kinda disproved.
Thing is, how much is actually explained about Vows? The problem is that Sukuna ultimately sacrificed something so minor for something big in that moment... what bigger moment is there for anyone else that isn't "KILL SUKUNA" and aren't doing the same thing?
Or does everyone believe that Binding Vows require something big to work the entire time which if that's the case, that's some absolute convenience(bullshit) that only Sukuna knows how to fuck the system like that...

Nen Restrictions has many explanations/examples (and then you have chars like Biscuit), but I don't remember much about Vows.
There's literally no explanation for binding vows. Other than that, making binding vows with yourself can boost your powers, and the consequences of doing such a thing are light cause you only lose what you gain. For example, Nanami using his full power before Overtime would only mean losing the boost overtime gives him. Hell in JJK 0 Yuta and Rika make a binding vow to sacrifice their own lives to gain enough power to defeat Geto, but Yuta just breaks it by not going with Rika into the afterlife.Thing is, how much is actually explained about Vows?

That's the problem, the subjectiveness of binding vows means that there either useless as shit or not really a disadvantage, Miwa's binding vow of never holding a blade again meant nothing, Sukuna's binding vow that instead of handsigns i'd chant didn't hinder his capabilities at all.Wasn't the Yuta one something to do with Rika nullifying the Vow?
Something like "You are supposed to die with me, but I don't want you to die, so we'll just forget about it?"
IMO Vows are lot more subjective than Nen Restrictions.
Yes there TOTALLY wouldn't be the same gender and sexual norms, despite the obvious fact of EVERY single relationship in the series (including those between aliens) being heterosexual.

I'm not saying Vegeta would definitely be against it but it would ABSOLUTELY be something that would surprise him and would take an adjustment period at the very least.
Never mind the fact Trunks is as straight as you get so this hypothetical is never happening anyway.
It's dumb cause again dragon ball isn't the series that does this shit especially when AT was aliveI like how some of the comments are acting like that the dude himself is "A Tourist"(Not understanding what the term means), acting like Vegeta would be okay about it(Despite him desperately wanting to keep his race alive even with Universe 6 Saiyans, you think he would be okay if Trunks was gay and thus, his bloodline is fucked until Bra is born) and other such nonsense.
It never ceases to amaze that people just LOVE pretending that characters are suddenly 100% LGBTQ+ because they really just want that praise and adoration for it and nothing else(I find it hilarious people say that Luffy is an ally because of how he treats Yamato... despite not only Oda never went in that direction, Luffy never bought it either since Yamato's first introduction and hell, neither does she when Kaido finally treats her like Oden, she's fucking SURPRISED when Kaido tries to legit kill her because he got tired of her larping Oden without understanding what it means).
The fact that their using Trunks as a kid for this kind of subject is a huge warning sign
