And then you get the Sanji situation where, it's more a problem of how Oda draws female characters in that you would NEVER assume these characters were minors 'cause Oda draws them all like they're adults. Same as most manga authors, particularly shonen ones do with teenage characters in general.

The closest thing anyone brings up there to actual ****philia is Roshi asking to see 16 year old Bulma's panties. It's definitely iffier than anything the other two did or said.

Obviously none of them are ****philes in the sense these people are implying.

These are the same nutcases who can't differentiate reality from fiction, so it isn't surprising.

FF7 (even the original that wasn’t impacted by all the crappy retcons later material introduced) has always been a mess of a game

The problem with the expanded material was trying to "fix" the glorious mess that was FF7 OG, a game that at times played like a fever dream amd whose ending was something out of Gainax Studios

The main thing I like about the new games, besides the gameplay itself, is how it (mostly) embraces the sheer camp of the OG

And he’s saying goodbye in his own goofy, out-of-pocket fashion

Jiraiya’s perversion is supposed to be a juxtaposition against his more philosophical, melancholic nature. He’s saying goodbye in an essentially out-of-pocket manner to distract them from feeling sad.
This is Naruto 101. The goofy dudes are actually deep and emotionally intelligent but pretend to be foolish.
