Not gonna lie I liked the level up system in bt2.
What I loved is how BT2 included every possible battle it could for its story mode with its already massive character roster put to full use

Trunks with all the massive gains he achieved in the Goku Black arc putting him solidly above Goku and Vegeta of that arc means there’s no incentive to bring Frieza back from Hell since Trunk can easily substitute for him in the Tournament of Power if he decided to stick around in the Present

OG Broly’s complete moveset revealed

They almost completely swapped out the moveset between Base Broly and his Restricted Super Saiyan

It’s Base that now does the Super Explosive Wave Ultimate while Restricted Super Saiyan inherits from Base the Bloody Smash Rush Blast 2 and Eraser Cannon Ultimate

For Legendary Super Saiyan, it’s the same moveset as BT3, just revamped.

He now fires his Eraser Cannon Blast in the same manner as the one he used to destroy the alien planet in front of the aliens with his back facing them before he does.

It looks akward here because every time you fire that attack, he’ll do the same animation of turning his back to the opponent for a split second before turning right back around with the attack.

As much as I can appreciate accuracy to the show, this shit just looks goofy when done repeatedly.

For his Gigantic Hammer, it’s now a Rush instead of a Grab and a lot of the combos are cut away.

Broly still begins the attack grabbing the opponent by the shoulders before tossing them into the air with an upward kick, but everything else that followed is instead replaced with that BRUTAL clothesline he did to both Trunks and later Vegeta

I’m hoping that for certain areas, Broly actually slams the opponent into the side of a building or mountain doing this too.

The Omega Blaster for his Ultimate is more or less the same as BT3 except now he fires it exactly like he did in Broly Second Coming for more accuracy.

Really wished Broly’s new Rush included this brutal, point bank blast he did to Gohan

Ultra Instinct Sign Goku gameplay.

Awesome attacks all around, and of course that disrespectful Point Blank Kamehameha he used to finish off Kefla is the Ultimate for UI Sign

It’s the single most memorable attack he ever did in this state

No comparisons to BT3 to be made here since this is an all new character

Super 17 not in this game is the most akward shit tbh.

He was in all 3 BT games in the most consistent manner.

BT1 didn’t have Syn or Omega at all and Baby was only playable in his final form but you had Super 17 there as essentially the final boss in the absence of the Shadow Dragon Arc

He was also the final opponent for Cell in his campaign for BT1 too

It’s with BT2 and 3 that got you all forms of Baby as well as Syn / Omega Shenron making his debut.

Gogeta (Z) gameplay

They kept the Big Bang Kamehameha from BT3 but ditched the Super Explosive Wave for his other Blast 2 in favor of a Rush based on those multiple invisible punches he started his beatdown on Janemba with

Same Ultimate as before, being his Stardust Breaker

Pretty funny seeing what a contrast in how this Gogeta fights to his Super counterpart to show how different the stakes were

Against Janemba, the fight was pretty much over the moment Gogeta showed up. Janemba didn’t even last a few seconds. So it’s reflected on his moveset here being relaxed, if not downright disrespectful. Like he doesn’t need to put in any real effort

Vs Gogeta (Super) which is based on how he fought Broly.

While Gogeta was still solidly in control throughout the fight, Broly definitely made Gogeta work for it this time, needing to go all the way to SSB and nothing short of an absolutely relentless beating to subdue him

So besides Gogeta (Super) having the multiple forms he went into fighting Broly, his combos are much more frantic and aggressive and he’s got got some of the flashiest and most destructive attacks in the whole game for both his Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Blue form.
