The chapter starts with the crew being shocked they aren't at the Turtle Holder and lose their shit while getting ready to attack Hana(Hanaichi) and Goku. Hana asks where Daruma is before noticing his sleep mode self and Hachi and Ryu are 2 of the other Box Keys. Hachi believes he's seeing a Dog Samurai(...ha) and asks who he is and Hana states who he is and his Style(which is now Ususama rather than Usujima... did I always get that wrong?) and Sen moves in to apprehend him despite Hana stating he has no intention of fighting and Goku moves in to stop Sen but then suddenly Daruma wakes up and blocks both attacks.
I thought this motherfucker was supposed to be asleep for a long time but again, Kishimoto already got word his shit got canceled so it's obvious everything is moving way too fast. Daruma confirms he knows Hana as the Ususama style is also looking for the Box Keys(As they are from the same school as Ata and if you remember, they are the ones who sealed up Daruma to his Cat Body... still have no idea how that worked) and surprise(and obviously) Goku and Ichigo are also Box Keys!(Seriously the story is moving way too fast due to being canceled) When Hachi states she wasn't on his map, Daruma states she's not yet a Samurai but has the same Gravity as Hachi(UUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH)
Daruma wonders why Hana is still looking for the keys but apparently his cat form is due to having to seal Daruma in his Cat Body(again, how the fuck did this happen?!) which caused Kala to seek someone else to look for the Keys... who was Ata(Why is this a problem?! Daruma seems OP as shit even as a Cat with the only massive demerit was losing his Fated Princess). Hana still decided to look for the Keys despite being discarded and Sen goes "I still gotta arrest you" because he is part of the Ususama Style(I get why considering how fucked they are including selling Planet Destroying Nukes to the Black Market) but Hana tells them the way Ata is gathering Keys is far different than what they are meant to do.
Ata is creating Duplicates that can open the Boxes(You can just do that?!) and when Daruma asks why someone of that Style would give a shit, Hana states he gave it up(But still uses it lol) which shocks Daruma. He wants to look for the box to defeat Ata as he no longer believes in his goal... and then we get to Goku and Ann and to seriously cut it short:
Kishimoto decided to try and have a fucking Love Triangle Moment between Goku, Ann and Hachimaru... despite the fact that there is NOTHING for Hachi to get jealous over because Princesses in this series... is FUCKING FATED! Goku can't cuck Hachimaru and Goku even states that, why the fuck is Hachimaru jealous?! Hachi gets more jealous when Daruma states Hachi should learn from Goku and I'm like "SHUT THE FUCK UP"
Get me out of his nonsense. Hana still wanks Hachimaru for "keeping Ata at bay"(I don't think anyone remembers that fight but Daruma carried that shit). When Sanda states that Hachi and Goku will have issues, Ichigo states "They won't as the gap is too wide"(I don't know what that means and I don't care) and to go back to it, Hana states that he wants to work together with Daruma, Daruma says "why should I?" and Hana decides to give him his Samurai Soul as proof which touches Daruma enough to go "Yeah" and we get this heartfelt montage of two enemies being together showing their human forms and I DON'T GIVE A FUCK!
I get that this manga was being canceled but it reminds me of the stupid shit that happens in JJK Post Shibuya where the characters do shit that makes it seem like they got an arc finished but nothing at all makes it be earned.
We then get Hachi being jealous again over the apprentice with an extremely obvious traitor shot over Goku which I SWEAR TO GOD KISHI...
The chapter ends with Ata killing more Samurai to claim their souls for his plan and he's going right after Hachimaru next.
Chapter 39:
FUCKING KILL ME, HOLY FUCK, I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE!
We start the chapter with Ata relishing his reuniong with Hachimaru, this is legit the ONLY GOOD PART OF THE CHAPTER(it makes me wonder what did people see in this shit to be hyped over it?! Like you can't bitch at Eden Zero and think this shit is good)! We then go to Hachimaru and co. and Hachi ends up praising how good the star map is in finding the location of the Keys(seriously, this shit is so ass Kishi) and then throws a shot at Goku for no reason(Seriously our fucking protagonist everybody, right back in top form) and Goku then throws a shot at him(Which is honestly well earned), Ryu and Sanda basically go a bit back and forth if Goku and Hachi are good people(I literally hate everyone here) or not.
Hachi comes back from training and asks Ann what's for dinner before seeing that Goku made a huge ass feast because he just wanted to(We will get to the real reason why and it's gonna be fucking stupid) and Ann is impressed and Hachi goes on his jealous streak again as everyone is eating the food. Hachi then asks Goku to spar with him and SPOILER ALERT: Hachi gets obliterated and embarrassed by Goku and takes it out on Ann like a fucking child(Atleast he catches it as soon as he did it) despite stating he was fighting on her behalf. Hachi then later apologizes to Ann but she suddenly just goes "It's fine" and walks off and Goku comes back to shit on Hachi some more because and yes, I will now finally get to the stupid part:
Goku basically shits on Hachi for acting what he believes a Samurai is while having a poor character, not seeing Ann for who she is, the fact that Hachi believes that Fated Princess = Fated Lovers and his Jordan's being fake
Okay that last one was fake but seriously, this is trash because Goku is going hard on Hachi... because he can't have a Fated Princess and Hachi acting like this to Ann while being so fake pisses him off...
On one hand, Hachi is absolutely a fake character and a piece of shit so I can side with Goku here... on the other hand, this shit is equally childish because it's forcing a divide that shouldn't exist over his own issues rather than talk to Hachi like a man, vis-a-vis:
So then we get to Goku arranging flowers and Ann seeing it as beautiful, Hachi doesn't see the point and bitches even when Ann tells him exactly how arranging flowers work on a spiritual level(Seriously, it's obvious what Ann is doing here and the fact Hachi is this fucking oblivious and not even trying to atleast go past his handicap is fucking insane. I get it, the dude hasn't met people outside of his dad for years but it gets ridiculous when he isn't even TRYING to see how passionate she is about that) and think it's just Goku showing off(FUCK. THIS. CHARACTER).
We then get a montage of Goku and Ann doing various activities and Hachi still being an ireedemable shithead rather than just hang out with Ann and fucking TALK. So Hachi goes and talks to Sen's Princess and Ann goes to Sen for advice and apparently from Sen's Princess, if a Samurai dies, a Princess can just go to another Samurai... which kinda fucks the entire dynamic up!
So you mean to tell me if a Samurai's Princess is dead, they can no longer get another Princess and are just fucked but if a Samurai dies, a Princess can just go to someone else free of charge?! That's absolutely stupid, why not have it to where the Princess can't bond to anyone else?!
So Ann and Hachi finally meet each other and just TALK as they should have done from the fucking start and Ann states the fucking obvious that she has been expressing her true self to Hachi because she likes him and not to see her as a Princess to protect, Hachi presses the wrong button(I can't blame him for this to be fair) and she brings up her brother who protected her for being Ann rather than to just get stronger.
Chapter 39:
Okay, this is gonna be the rare chapter I'm gonna speedblitz through because we already know most of this and it's just Ann and Hachimaru clearing the air so...
Basically, Ann tells Hachi her brother's backstory and how she sees her brother in Hachi(Bringing back that extremely retarded, overly used "He's Just Like Me F'Real!" nonsense) and when Hachi actually acted different than her brother, she started avoiding him because of those slight differences. Hachi tells her that he isn't her brother and he's protecting her as Hachi for her not as a Princess but as Ann. Daruma sees this extremely milquetoast bullshit and goes back to Fudo Myoo's extremely retarded bullshit(Because it fucking is) and now apparently, Hachi and Ann has seen their "True Selves" as they have seen what they want to see and shown to others... ugh.
Goku even shows up going "This was my plan all along"(Kishi... fuck off) and that Hachi even got a Heroism boost(HOW?!). Ichigo then suddenly senses Ata is coming and they are all fucked.
Daruma and Hanaichi decide to finally get their shit in gear and apparently, the LEADER's soul fragment can still be used to get both of their true selves to be unleashed(I thought that was a one time thing?!) to fight Ata on equal ground and Sen creams his pants over seeing 2 legends work together(Dude, we barely met Hanaichi and nothing showed he was infamous, hell, the way Daruma described it he was jumped by multiple people when that happened). Ata then goes to fight them with his Princess backing him up(That was his Princess the entire time?! I thought it was just a Terminal?!). Ata wonders why Hana betrayed them but Hana fires back that he's not loyal to the teachings, Daruma states that Ata uses both schools so they can easily deal with one or the other but Ata goes "I mastered both schools" and used the Combined Style:
WORLD OF DEATH! To a cliffhanger, chapter was shit, we are in the final 3 now and like I said, I'm finishing this garbage today so
