21 goddamned years...
21 goddamned years and honest to god, they was HINTING at it too and none of us noticed(from the last PPV's press conference and even CM Punk brought attention to it during the drive to Elimination Chamber for John Cena's "Final Year", he's barely been wrestling like it's the case).

Holy fucking shit, we paid attention to the wrong shit all along.
 
Elimination Chamber like the Royal Rumble before it was a show of two halves, but on a whole other level.

The Royal Rumble just went from meh to pretty damn good, the Elimination Chamber went from dog shit to fucking AWESOME between the first and second half.

I was pissed Cena won over Punk...until I saw what happened next.

I never DREAMED they'd have the balls to pull that trigger. And they did such a good job of hiding it, even when Cena took advantage of Punk getting curb stomped he clearly said "I'm sorry" but now we know THAT was bullshit.

Good one on that by the way Seth Mr "Don't help Reigns take back over", now look what you've done dumbass.

Basically John Cena sold his soul to The Rock and did his first Heel Turn since 2003 and what was surprising was the signs was always there but no one really paid attention to it till it finally fired:


The fact that Cena went IMMEDIATELY to STF CM Punk after Rollins' run in when Cena normally would have absolutely destroyed Rollins for that, the fact he never actually wore his "Never Give Up" gear for the Elimination Chamber, his Press Conference from the Royal Rumble and his consistently huge losing streak beforehand.
We kept focusing on either Cody Rhodes or CM Punk selling their soul to The Rock we never focused that John Cena has every damn reason to do so.
 
Imagine a deck whose very own design makes a trap card that can be activated from hand unintentionally shut down their entire playstyle for the remainder of the Duel with no way to play around it as soon as it resolves

For context, Dominus Impulse is a trap card that you can activate from your hand if your opponent controls a card on field to negate any card effect that Special Summons a monster, but if you activated this Trap from hand, for the rest of the Duel you cant use any Earth, Wind or Light monster effects

Mimighouls as a theme are all Earth and rely on summoning their Flip Monsters to the opponents field Face Down and then flipping them up to both activate mandatory detrimental effects for the player controlling them before their then switched back to the Mimighoul player.

Thing is, since it counts as ME activating those Earth Monster effects while their on my field and I'm under Dominus' Impulse's restriction of no longer being able to use Earth Monster effects for the whole Duel, they do nothing when flipped up, neither activating effect nor switching control back to my opponent.

I always tell the Mimighoul player that still didnt figure this out yet "Thanks for the free bodies."



Pretty horrendous design flaw for a TCG theme released AFTER we got both Dominus Trap cards made.

And for added irony: Mimighouls came out in the same set Dominus Impulse did

Althought admittedly, if they were Dark, Water, or Fire, it'd just mean they get stat checked by Dominus Purge, which is seeing more play currently than Impulse between Blue-Eyes being one of the best decks that can play it and anti-searching being really popular against the current Meta

I tried to watch a few other Gundams first (SEED, the original, The Witch From Mercury), but none of them landed for me. Maybe I should try give them another go sometime though.
