At 0:45 take a look at Dante and that woman
It's very similar to the moment Shirou summoned Artoria for the fist time in Stay Night
So Dante doesn't have Ebony and Ivory. Is this set before Devil May Cry 3? Or is this a different continuity like Netflix's Castlevania?
It's pre DMC3 though he should already have Ebony and Ivory from Nell Goldstein if he's going by the name Dante.
It's probably going to be a different continuity that re-tells the story of the games if it goes far enough.
Wouldn't be the first time that a Netflix animated adaptation forgot an important aspect about a character or franchise. Like no Vampire Killer whip in Netflix's Castlevania.
Which is something to be worried about knowing their track record with Castlevania if later season's start piling on the woke shit you know they want to push in instead.
And wait a god damned minute, my ass just noticed that's the REBOOT DmC design for his amulet that he has there.
Why are we taking things from the reboot, especially when the original design is much better? Some things are better left forgotten.

I'm not giving into this with high expectations, the only reason I'm even going to watch a bit of it is because I'm a DMC fan unlike with Castlevania that I had no prior knowledge of. If it's ass, I'm NOT going to bother watching a second season if they get one.

Well the designs they've shown for Lady don't exactly inspire confidence in me that she's going to represent her game counterpart too well.

From what I'm reading, they're trying to keep the games and anime separated, which is kinda funny considering the 2007 DMC anime is actually canon to the games

Apparently Lady's design was based on Konoko from Oni. Lady's new design and body proportions looks DEI though.
