Just paying bills alone is around 1-2k for most people. You're getting paid twice that per week and paying once a month. If you're not constantly blowing your money on any frivolities you can live pretty comfortably for the rest of your life. It's not "live in a penthouse" money but it's "I can start a business in less than a month and not worry about anything" money. Which can 100% lead into the former if you play things smart.
Because Nero doesn't have Dante's name value, simple as that.
Likely also because he didn't want to have to address Fortuna, the city full of religious demon hunters who worship Sparda whose existence isn't even acknowledged in the show AFAIK, even when the Vice President specifically orders them to "bring me EVERY demon hunter".
Mind you, the character's portrayal in the show would be just as insulting if it were Nero as with it being Dante, though at least the voice would match up with the character.
This is why politics and fiction shouldn't be put together, that's all I'm gonna say on the subject.
