The part where X thought ral was faking cause he's the grinch and Ral claimed Rudolph and that makes no sense as a Mason pairing. Like the reason for mistrust was there.

If you lead a ral mislynch people will attribute it to you and say you led a mislynch. You don't just get forgiven for mislynching unless town are dumb. I'd have certainly held thst heavily against anyone.

However if someone is faking their character and is exposed as such then everyone suddenly has a free pass to vote him because he lied without reason and thus jeopardized himself.

That would be the wrong way to do things, you could question those that pushed it but thats about it. With the thread positions of Flower and Caldust leading to a mislynch isnt the end of the world for them, Ral was scumread by more then them.

Rugrat definitely does try this hard as scum, especially to clear himself as it's one of his main priorities in winning lol. That's faulty reasoning, rugrat isn't a shitty teammate.
