No the punishment was losing vote power. Her point is that you doing in intentionally should have been a modkill. To be fair I think the move was pretty lame because it was intentional, could have done without it, but ultimately all it did was hurt us so to insist that's why the game was won is er, not true.

There were arguments against the sk being the sk. There was way too much stupid play to sort through. It is easy to say from a scum pov that I should recognize which is town and which isn't.
Also I was voting you. I even found ral as town. My active phases involved me trying to lynch the sk then you. I can't really do much against people lynching me for making the right call in removing the sk and then the out of pocket governor usage.

Here's something constructive to consider
In theory it's a valid tactic (imho) — it's just that it's misused frequently (...T-P)
In practice, the way you play it is important to avoid throwing and causing further conflict of people's reads of you. It ended up being detrimental to town.
If you want to play this way, I'd say your next approach is just scumhunting & townhunting like you would as an indie. It creates an air of suspicion without just stating arbitrary shit through trolling - I get bait reactions, but it's a negative because it induces further paranoia.
Get into that indie mindset to keep scum on their toes, but don't lean into your indie meta so much you risk getting lynched. Things you don't say out loud.
You may have a higher success rate if you ever do use it as a tactic since you've now proven you can have on the nose reads in hindsight now! Fuck yeah
I easily had like a 95% accuracy this game. I even cleared PoE fodder like Gad and Polar via logic lol.
