The SFX does say POOF, which literally means something popping out of nowhere.

Kizaru's actually Vegapunk's brother. Vegapunk's goal was to eventually be able to replicate Kizaru's DF, and cosume it. Combined with his brain-brain fruit he would have both unlimited brain capacity and could learn and/or execute things at the speed of light. I think this is why he might reveal to be interested in Blackbeard in the near future.
