The last two chapters didn't feel useless, but I just feel like in this instance Oda kinda put the brakes on the momentum he had building up for Kizaru. I sure hope we actually get to see Kizaru in serious action(science land and the first tech we witnessed were gloves designed to interact with photons, come on), and not have the crew just bolt on him after all that teasing and buildup. Oda cannot pass on this chance to finally do something real with Kizaru.
