it is true that i am a witch

I was being hyperbolic there I meant "Peer reviewed sources that are little better than hocus pocus"

IE we should allow all material to be submitted no matter how retarded rather than restrict the flow of information via rules filtered through a biased and potentially implemented by people with foggy lenses.

Buuuuttttt if it makes you feel better about the caricature you probably have of everyone in here not calling children in dresses stunning and beautiful I can froth at the mouth and screech about you needing to come to Jesus...

Not that I'm particularly religious and my contempt towards Evangelicals (You heretics need to start saying Latin Masses again..damn apostates) is probably greater than yours.

Sincerely - the world's the most lapsed Catholic with the exception of the Pope

Free speech and the freedom of information on this site must not be abridged.

Alternative media and alternative clinical sources are as legitimate as the clownshow we have running this atrophied global circus.

I'm gonna make a debate about this under feedback shortly. Move this post, reply to it. Invite everyone to share their opinions the matter but I'm also asking if the other mods just want me to leave it be and not change anything.

Please let's not derail this further, you'll have your chance to defend this viewpoint.

Aren't hormone blockers insanely dangerous? I heard that it fucks with the pancreas and liver.
Yes it is. Oh looks like you provided the receipts.

It's difficult to know if this treatment is a net benefit as those who are fully transitioned unfortunately seem to experience the same issues to those prior transitioned.

I suppose the gamble here is that if you can transition early enough it will help significantly more than a post puberty transition?

Any kind of hormone therapy is incredibly risky. Giving males testosterone for example can sterilize them and cause hypergonadism.

Diabetes is what I would imagine is the biggest risk in HRT for trans people. Followed by exacerbating their mental problems due to fundamentally screwing with their brain chemistry.

And this is ignoring something like 90% of kids who get transitioned destransition then accuse their mothers of having Munchausens by Proxy or doing it for exploitative reasons or saying they did it to escape abuse.

So I wonder how "successful" it is at achieving those ends.

It doesn't seem like any of the solutions currently employed is helping judging from the suicide rates.

It also seems like we keep doubling down on solutions that aren't providing relief.

They aren't and that's a tragedy, it's absolutely terrible what happens to these poor souls. And you are right we do as a society keep doubling down and that's where I think a large portion of said society is guilty of manslaughter via negligence

GnRH agonists used to block puberty include leuprorelin (Lupron) and triptorelin (Trelstar). There are multiple studies pointing to GnRHas lowering IQ and negatively impacting brain function in general.

Single person study of effects of puberty blockers on 12-year-old shows IQ drop of 9 points in 15 months

Already had a severely negative opinion on puberty blockers since the medical literature shows that it impedes brain development. To the tune of at least half a standard deviation of IQ, which is pretty fucking significant. Like, no shit that impeding one of the most important developmental processes in a person's life is going to cause major issues. I mean, also because you're potentially sterilizing someone under the age of consent, but that's icing on the cake. The state of trans medicine today is probably going to viewed in hindsight like we view lobotomies.
