i was poking fun at myselfI was being hyperbolic there I meant "Peer reviewed sources that are little better than hocus pocus"
IE we should allow all material to be submitted no matter how retarded rather than restrict the flow of information via rules filtered through a biased and potentially implemented by people with foggy lenses.

Any kind of hormone therapy is incredibly risky. Giving males testosterone for example can sterilize them and cause hypergonadism.I suppose the gamble here is that if you can transition early enough it will help significantly more than a post puberty transition?

Diabetes is what I would imagine is the biggest risk to HRT for trans people. Followed by exacerbating their mental problems due to fundamentally screwing with their brain chemistry.
And this is ignoring something like 90% of kids who get transitioned destransition then accuse their mothers of having Munchausens by Proxy or doing it for exploitative reasons or saying they did it to escape abuse.
So I wonder how "successful" it is at achieving those ends.

Staphorsius et al. (2015) conducted a study in a GD adolescent group under hormonal suppression to investigate the impact of pubertal suppression on executive function (EF). They compared GD adolescents under GnRHa treatment to GD adolescents undergoing physiological puberty and compared them to male and female control groups. They used the Tower of London test and found a negative impact of pubertal suppression on EF. However, they also associate this outcome with a lower IQ before GnRHa treatment.
Additionally, a global IQ decrease (WISC-III) was reported in a longitudinal follow-up of girls with central precocious puberty (Schuerger and Witt, 1989) treated with GnRHa.
Finally, a third study correlated verbal skill impairment to pubertal suppression in a GD group (Costa et al., 2015).
