Because that's referring to him being able to react to her own attacks in time.

The thing repeatedly emphasized throughout the volume that he can only do because of his "experience" (which isn't how experience in combat works but I digress).

"Even with a special power in his right hand, he would be smashed to pieces before he could use it."

That quote specifically says that the issue is not being able to negate it, but being able to react in time.

No one would have been able to keep up with its overwhelming speed. Their bodies would have been smashed to pieces before they could even hope to follow the tip of the lance with their eyes.

But the experience he had built up accurately guided his movements.

He had achieved a surefire attack that would work on Magic God Othinus and no one else.

To reiterate, Touma was literally just using his built-up experience to be capable of reacting to Gungnir's overwhelming speed. That's it.

And we know Imagine Breaker’s powers become more effective the further removed from reality the opponent is like a straight up reality warper like Othinus and even then it took countless lifetimes worth of experience

Since Touma went from not being able to do anything to just her passive reality warping and even IT being crushed by her to stopping her most power attack with effort

You're misinterpreting what that means then.

It's not a literal buff in terms of its "negation potency". Imagine Breaker is effective on stuff that is supernatural and isn't effective on things that aren't.

The only things we know canonically get stronger over time in his arsenal are the IT and Touma's "experience"/utilizing his own inherent power and capabilities.

Not what Imagine Breaker can negate or not.

BTW @Xhominid The Apex Didnt bother reading most of that multi-essay rambling you wrote while I was conveniently absent to respond but I am curious about one part of that you wrote.

What exactly is wrong with this latest volume about exploring Hell based on the portrayal in Dante’s Inferno?

Sounds like an awesome premise on paper and I certainly heard complaints about Kubo doing a Hell arc on Bleach (again)
