If Ratchet was executioner why would he counter claim Melkor just to off the town vig and get cooked the following day?
 

But the reason evidently turned out to be because his team told him to
 
i mean thinking about it, if melkor is not the vig but hes gonna claim it, the best bet is to claim it at EoD and try to cause a last minute cfd

then his team needs to busdrive him with someone else and make the vig's kill go elsehwere (real vigs usually shoot the person fake claiming vig)
