Game Unranked Archived Fairy Tail Mafia - The Dawn of Fiore [Main Game Thread] (Game Ended - Zeref Dragneel and Acnologia have won the game)

26 players

Last game was hosted by Ultra with 5 scum, 1 SK, and one survivor type indie out of 21-23 players

So potentially each time probably has 3-4 members, likely 1 to 2 or 3 indies

Shit
Well, Ekko isn't Ultra. Excuse my metagaming here, but Ekko *loves* "making things difficult" for town. His games tend to have inflated numbers because he expects both some crossfire and likes to punish town for sloppy role use. I would, frankly, be shocked if each mafia team has less than 4 members in them.

????????????????
!!!!!!

poison only fluffed. her answers were meaningless! she didn't attempt to at all engage! while as engagement increased! looked towny to me. ive never played with her, but she seems quite comfortable and i like that.

i liked hayumi's questioning of my vote and her brief exchange with ratchet.

both looked overall like towny things from me.

any host that makes their games with stupid expectations like this but want help with their setups because, quite frankly, it's a dumb expectation as a host. the game should be balanced from the start, not on what the host expects to happen as the game goes on. i digress tho.

:hm

I agree about comments on Poison thus far. It’s a bit early but every game I’ve played with her as town I swear she just fluffs. If she’s scum there’s a bit less shit posting

So a player looks townie off being evasive and flustered when responding to questions? Is that why your reading her or is this a sarcastic reaction Ratchet's own play style? Either way not seeing it. We need to talk about this more in depth in our scum chat if you want to blend in as a better townie, Magical Wolf.

If we are talking about results or tmi, then yes
Based on just thread play, idk, maybe
i like this answer and the followup. to elaborate i like it because he's not trying to drag ratchet's credibility while he pushes him. a scum player, if correctly being pursued by a town/non-same alignment player, might go after

i completely disagree with the premise it's too early to get strong reads, but i like the answer nonetheless.

Dragonnn, hey friend. How you feeling about Ratchet and T’s little interaction so far?
It's always interesting when a slot tries to interact with TSA, it honestly does hook a lot of people. I think that Tsword does come off looking a bit like he wants to fit in. I do think Magic's question to Tsword of wanting to appease Ratchet was maybe a testament to my observation as well. I don't know if that's necessarily a definite wolf tell, but it's enough for me to want to put pressure on his slot. I am watching to see if Ratchet gets a bit greedy with what I deem is an easy slot, but I don't think he's done anything outrageous or pingy.

what would you say was evasive and flustered? id love to know. can you quote the posts for me that you particularly found evasive or her(him?) being flustered.

to add on, do you have an issue with town reads? as far as im aware scum players biggest concern is always having the pool as big as possible for people that can realistically lynch. town's main goal early on should be to narrow this number as much as possible, giving higher odds of a successful mafia lynch. a town that doesn't look for each other crumbles quite easily, no?

I think some expectation of scum vs scum is fine, because each team will need to eliminate the other too - though I do agree it's a tricky balancing act.

I come away with the opposite opinion actually - I expected he would be a tad more defensive than he is, instead he seems inclined to let it wash over without really responding. It doesn't help that I feel he's pretty different so far, tonally, to how he was last game, though he did sub in there so perhaps not the greatest indicator of his general tone.

So again why are you hard leaning her as a townie based off admitted hesitation in their responses is my question to you. Is it some kind of behavior tell? Why are you confident of her and Hayumi so much?

this doesn't look quite as good.

of all things you can go someone after, you choose to go after them out of pettiness of being called an easy slot?
Thats enough for me, the game just started and people be talking about easy slots

my vote on kobe was bait. i wanted to see what throwing suspicion on nothing would result in while admitting it was nothing.

i liked what hayumi had to say about it. i liked her questioning it. i liked she seemed unsure of it. all this, as i guess you call it behaviour tells, make me think she reacted like a townie would to something that seems confusing at best and backwards in logic otherwise.

as far as poison, i elaborated! it is as i said, she feels comfortable and, based off what i saw of her personality in our discord, it seems to fit more along with what i'd expect someone like her to behave as as town.

Let the record show Magic's response while 'adequate' is not what I would consider convincing and leans more into the area of posturing to me. Suspicious, but not strong enough to to commit myself in extraditing him as potential scum yet. I have never been a fan of using supposed 'tells' or behavioral hints to belie someone's alignment or role in mafia games.

yes but my issue is that there's no way this a vote based on a scum read. the game has just started but content is already flowing! you could vote people for a number of reasons, some of which others have already brought up, but you go for the one vote on someone that is 100% clearly not based on a scum read itself but instead just an issue of being called an easy slot.

like i said before when you exchanged with ratchet, you could have easily gone after ratchet for OMGUS, but from what i can tell ratchet is a stronger player and that might be an unnecessary risky move to go back and forth with him. you pounced on the chance to go for dragon tho.

I've liked Hayumi, to echo the town reads. They've been questioning and prodding in their own way, in a way that doesn't strike me as if there is agenda there, or that they just want to look busy, but rather it comes across as genuine.
