You know I actually had an idea for a Isekai story once
I came up with it because I wanted to make a character whose motivation was to get back to earth and something different from the highschool loner mcs.
Basically the plot was that the main character wasn't a high schooler or a loner living in a basement but a father.
He's like a 40s-50s years old salaryman with a nuclear family he loves very much, not that handsome or strong but working a lot to provide for them.
When one day a black hole appears in the sky that sucks him up while he's coming back from work.
He ends up in another world with the reason why he ended up in the other world was because of an accident, an overzealous teenager casting secret dimensional magic that created a portal between worlds.
So no your the chosen one, gotta save the world kinda thing.
Of course mc wants to get back home to his family but unfortunately, the portal can't be reopened because said teenager used up all the resources to open the first one. And dimensional magic is also banned in this world (I came up with this just because I kinda wanted something to move the plot along, I ended up deciding to make outer gods a thing as too explain why the magic was banned) so both the father and the teen he's with are now criminals running from the authorities and trying to find the resources they originally used to reopen the portal.
That's pretty much all I had come up with in terms of plot.
