AEW has been done for a while, and been set on a death spiral. This is just another notch on it for Tony Khan.

I mean yeah, he had to lose Exodia for their to be any tension going forward, especially in Battle City onward when everyone's got Pot of Greed and anime Card of Sanctity and the like. He'd just draw Exodia every time he was in trouble.
