It was mostly miscommunication <_< The guy said I can't read when he was the one who fail to read. I asked if Issei need the Familiar like you said:

Which he answers with this.

So I told him that the familiar is not in this thread. And ask what can Issei do without the familiar.

And he answers with some "planet busting" statement

Then I am like "I don't care about the safe conclusion, can he reaches everything you said here which include planet busting without his familiar?"

I even clarify what am I asking and this is the respond.

And then he said Issei need his familiar.

So my question was "Can he reaches planet bursting level without his familiar" and he answer yes and then say need familiar... I am guessing he didn't answer Yes to my first question and only read and answer the last question. :smh

Idk what the dude is talking about anyway. AAA isn't his strongest form, that's still his DxD form. AAA is just more consistent while DxD involves a lot of charge moves (and also fucks up Issei when he uses it).

Also the "can't tank it" is BS because his only use of AAA so far involves trading blows with a being that can match that level of firepower.

Cmiw, but isn't Issei unable to tank Planet level firepower?

No. The same dude who takes his hits fires back just as hard and Issei blocks or counters them.

Besides, both AAA and the guy taking his hits are weaker than the monster he was trading blows with in DxD.

Cmiw, but isn't Issei freting at AxA full power of being capable of destroying planet saying that it's too dangerous and he will die if earth is destroyed.

Also regarding DxD still being the strongest, I take it it has received upgrade at the latest novel?

He'll die because he can't breathe in space, not because of the explosion :skully

No, DxD gets a weaker form Issei uses past the 666 fight because the real thing almost kills him when he uses it. AAA is him using his dragon boat familiar to get closer to true DxD without killing himself.

So, does current Issei able to control DxD form full power?
If not then isn't AxA is still the best form Issei can use.

Regardless though, he is still Planetary+ level from what I see (assuming current him can control DxD full power). Unless ExE gods arrives and forces him to become stronger

He can use it. Once. Then he'll die. :zaru

The main point was that the idea he couldn't take his own hits was silly, anyway. Though if you can breathe in space blowing up the planet and running away is still an option.

According to statements, Issei is indeed Planetary.

There's just one small problem. The author of DxD simply loves to first give something like: this ability will destroy everything, one volume later This ability will destroy the entire Archipelago after another one The ability was activated at full strength and one island was wiped off the face of the earth.

To be real though, that feels like the typical problem you have with authors not keeping their shit straight and not clarifying shit the right way.
You have this exact issue with Rhongomyniad in Fate Grand Order alone:

Rhongomyniad in Camelot - Blows away whole Mountains and destroys whole towns with nothing remaining
Rhongomyniad in Scandinavia(Though this is a comparison) - is compared to Laventienn which can destroy the entire Reality of the Norse Mythology and/or wipe the entire Nasu Planet into cinders
Rhongomyniad in Olympus - Will wipe out the entire Mountainous Region of Olympus, including the Tree of Emptiness, the Cronus Crown, everything.
Rhongomyniad in Fairy Britain - Can put big ass holes in the ground, also need 12 to kill an undead fluffy boi(Fluffy Boi is tainted to fuck with a bullshit level of curses that can fuck up a potential Beast irreparably and also destroy the Planet but I digress)
Rhongomyniad in the interim before Fairy Britain - Is a threat to the Foreign God who can create 50KM+ Black Holes casually as fuck both by Chaldea and her own orders to her minion
Rhongomyniad in The Camelot Movie - Can casually clear away a huge ass set of clouds with the dispersal of energy across the entire Singularity and also do a Gravity Emission on the level of a Black Hole across the entire Surface of the Planet.

Let's not even get into Dragonball with the constant threats the Kamehameha should do and yet doesn't do at the same time.

Not. This is a little different. The fact that you only listed various uses, the strength of Rongo himself did not change much.

But for the author of DxD, first write something very high and then lower it, it’s normal.

Just for context: In the first volume, Kiba's speed is compared to that of light. And this is just the beginning.

Are you talking about the wannabe magical girl. Because that went the other way around.

It started with "she'll freeze half of Japan", went to "all of Japan", and the she actually did it and like froze the ocean or some shit.

Not that narrative power creep is actually better than the other way around in terms of writing, but the dude originally planned for ten volumes and then the series escaped his control and we're at like 30+ at this point :skully

I mean, you can get into Dragon Ball

That’s literally the purpose of my collection calculations for it :maybe

I mean I can do that but it would take me forever going into every little detail of the Kamehameha's use when I can just go into HOW it works.

Primarily the fact that it requires putting all of the latent Ki into a single point before unleashing it which would further amplify the attack(Which is supposed to be the point) yet, we only get a few times where this would destroy the Planet even in later points where Goku is way beyond that level and only surface level damage is done rather than just punching through Earth or something.

Nah, the Rhongomyniad examples, while they can be conflated to just being different levels of usage in terms of power, still follow the same issue because you end up with Rider Vinci going on about "There would be big ass holes in the ground if Morgan used Rhongomyniad" when we had in Olympus and Scandinavia have them go with far, far more damage than that.

It feels like Nasu sometimes can't tell what he allowed in there and what he hasn't.

No. That’s the rub: so far, she hasn’t destroyed anything else than the island.
