Lord Melkor

Exceptional
This just feles really bad. A good entrance from magic without really saying what exactly is good till prompted and sheeping an RVS vote without actually commenting on Magics logic at hand like Mango was.

Good entrance as it proper game and sensible game related content. Unlike talking to your yourself or talking about flavour.

He's not just going along with the flow - shows he's giving some thought to what is being presented, but isn't trying to leverage that the premise is weak

Didn't he call my premise weak while still voting along with me tho? I don't get it.

Like I said, he wasn't trying to leverage it. Him finding something to discredit isn't something I think as scum he would avoid getting into, instead he supports your push for content while not doing so in a way that buddies up to you.

Mango is a pretty straightforward player Magic, as the resident mango expert I am the authority on this until proven wrong. Think he's good

All of this is based on meta analysis with the last quote literally stating he's an expert of your meta on both ends.
That's a very weird angle to take here Magic, why does Ratchet's reasonings translate into a META read?

Well, I think Ratchet found an easy read in me and have chosen to move along.

What was the difference in what melkor did vs ratchet?

@Luka same question to you. You said it was scummy he made a town read without explanation yet had no comment on ratchet doing the same and then expanding on it when asked. Was it not scummy for ratchet to do that very thing(for the town read) if it was scummy for melkor?

To reiterate, is your question what the difference between LM's interaction with your post vs Ratchet's interaction with my post?

If I understood your question correctly then it's quite clear, LM was buddying a vote while Ratchet was commenting on my vibe to be in line with my town game.

One is sheeping a vote, while the other is giving their read based off mannerism.

It wasn't the act of making a town read for no reason, you can make a town read and just prefer not to elaborate on it which is reasonable. It was more the fact that he made a town read for no reason, then sheeped the person he's town reading without commenting on the actual logic itself. IE: Just saying "Magic feels town" is acceptable, but going "Magic feels town" then sheeping the person in question without indicating any agreement with the logic itself isn't. Also, as mentioned before I like Ratchet mind melding with me on Melkor.

I don't clear Ratchet based of him clearing me BTW, he could just as well do this as scum where he is banking on my support.

Pretty sure he's done this plenty before.

While he usually see right through me, I find it difficult to do in return.

Do you feel that way RN or is it less of a concern

Asking given your awareness of how susceptible you are to his manipulation

I fucked myself over when he rolled scum and did all these moves I was not expecting

Melkor town read me then joined a wagon, which kinda has to happen to make a wagon happen and if you got no other reads why not vote along with someone you think is town. Is this inherently scummy within the first 100 posts of the game?

I'd say ratchet's method was far more likely a pocketing attempt than melkor just saying I'm town considering he stated he's the expert on you. If you're town and he's scum it gives you a sense of safety as long as ratchet has your back and is more likely to make you think he's town too. On top of that if you are town and you feel he often town reads you right it's an easy connection to make in your head that he's town too and, as you put it, just found an easy town read to start the game off.

Or am I wrong here? Others are free to comment as well!

Too early for me to say, he's not done anything to raise an eyebrow just yet.

He's neutral for me

You think a meta specific to you should apply to melkor as well?

Would ratchet be buddying you then?
How on earth is that what you took from his post? He said Melkor would be an example of someone who was, in this context, plausibly buddying. What does that have to do with meta?

Explain your thought process here - feels less linear than usual. If it looks good for Mango, would the same not apply to Magic? Why or why not?

Also @Magic
Hello
I see you scum hunting strong and right off the ba I like it

Still need some vote pressure? I'll just catch up in a few actually
1 I did, like a few posts later.
2 Isn't a thought process, so nothing to explain. It's a question

I disagree, what Ratchet is doing is completely NAI for me.

He does this as either alignment as he knows he can sway me, I am of course wary of Ratchet, but once I have him as town I am usually quite confident that he is.

Like in the last game Ratchet was an easy clear after CP's flip, after that there was absolutely no reason for me to even remotely think Ratchet to be non-town.

Ratchet properly read me as town that game too with little problem.
