Why town on Watson?

I have a town read on Watson for two reasons:

1. She seems to be posting a lot and very active; in the last game she was scum and wasn’t so active. She said her house move was hindering activity in the last game, but now she’s presumably closer to her move date and still posting flippantly.

2. Magic said she was town, and I’ve got a town read on him. In addition; he’s got quite good success with reading Watson - so that also reconciles.

Out of curiosity, where is the weighting between these two things? As in, are you more deferring your read to Magic here, or do you have a strong baseline first in her activity and then Magic reading her town makes you more comfortable with it?

Don't like this. Every time I've seen someone logging claims like this they flipped scum.

This is a fair point.

I think it can serve as a way for scum to assist the town without providing reads and be active without providing content.

I’m going to try and be active and provide content though early doors, as the game has started at a good time for me.

Weighting is chiefly on my own read (this is the case with 99% of town reads I’ll make).

I’d say that Magic’s read crystallises my initial read on Watson.

I’m going to say Magic and Ratchet aren’t scum together.

Magic going out of his way to say that Ratchet is a heavy busser and we should still be suspicious of him even if he lynches a scum isn’t something wise to say. If they’re scum together it reduces any equity Ratchet can get if he busses, as it’s going to be very difficult for Magic to give him a town read in the game unless he buses two teammates.
