It's funny because people are vastly overplaying Woodwose's strength relative to other characters but at the same time equally don't understand why he's so strong.
Woodwose's strength primarily comes from that he's the only truly incarnated A-Ray of the bunch and is ludicrously powerful due to the special organ in his body allowing him to gain energy from the Planet and uses it in a fashion like you see from say Excalibur.
And the fact he takes multiple hits from the Spear of Selection which has Anti-Faerie Properties which stopped him from healing and further damage and still lived through sheer grit is ridiculous... but it also shows he has limits as you can easily put it at the level of the stronger Divine Constructs, if not lesser than them.
This doesn't mean much.
It is one of Nasu's favorite tropes ever to have much weaker characters pose a relevant threat to much stronger characters through compatibility and protagonist power.
No... no it is not. I love when SB'ers say this shit and you can tell within a second they aren't correct because they always say this as if Shirou vs. Gilgamesh is always a thing and it's not.
Shiki Tohno never won any of his major fights due to that and neither did Shiki Ryougi, they won precisely because their abilities are bullshit and they are literal demon hunters with demon blood in them to some degree and Hakuno and Ritsuka aren't even that.
It can simultaneously be true that some characters are extremely strong compared to Servants going purely off of Powerlevels and that in an actual fight that happens in story, the much weaker character does a lot of damage to the Fairy.
I already know where this is stupidly going...
While that is true, Melusine does rate Grimm and Muramasa above the Knocknarean forces anyway in terms of threat level(who she can definitely beat), which is why I think her statement is somewhat accurate in that case, alongside the fact that Barghest doesn't contradict Melusine in her claim that she can beat all of the Knocknarean forces.
...The Faerie Knights who was not there at all when Morgan got her ass nearly killed by Mab, who is weaker than Cnoc Na Riabh, the current incarnation, are the true judges of that?
Over Cnoc Na Riabh who explicitly remembers Mab and Morgan's final battle and Mab's past life?
Or Morgan herself stating fighting Chaldea was the closest she got to dying for real since her fight with Mab?
Yeah, we should TOTALLY believe Melusine who hyperinflates her own abilities over Morgan's judgment or Cnoc herself.
Even outside of that, Mash was capable of fighting on par with more than 50 Mors at the end of part 1
...Does he not realize this completely obliterates his point?! Mash was not Super Galahad or anything at that point, she was literally at the level she is as Shielder in Part 1 and she was able to take on multiple Mors on her own.
"B-But she was compared to a Tam Lin!" So was Lostbelt Percival!
and Barghest believes she can take on more than 10 large type Mors if they group together using Galatine,
REALLY not helping your point as the Galatine she's using is based on Gawain's Spirit Origin! Meaning if she can do it, so can he!
This is despite the fact that Muramasa+Da Vinci+ 3 bells Artoria+Master Support struggled against three Large Mors.
Because Rider Da Vinci is nowhere near the fighter her Caster and Adult Counterpart is, Muramasa is too much towards Divine Spirits and since Faeries don't believe in that shit, his main ace isn't there and Castoria has to basically buff everyone at once...
REALLY not helping your point.
