Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 5: Diamonds are fleeting. Stupid lasts forever

So basically the dude is coping mega-hard that Nasu's writing style changed over the years and wants to try and cut off the old stuff to somehow preserve it

What a nut :skully

It is and that's how it was when I read it. I didn't even get past the first few paragraphs when I was sent it but holy shit, just reading it out in full just shows me how lost this dude genuinely is.

Because let's actually go check his "baby" Fate Strange Fake vs. Fate Grand Order's Releases:

which began in January 2015 and is currently ongoing

It was released in Japan on Android on July 25, 2015, and iOS during August of the same year.

This is what he thinks the "Old Canon" Stopped?! There's no fucking way you can say that and think you are somehow smart when Strange Fake's release is literally only 6-7 months older without understanding that it would still be exactly where FGO would be in terms of becoming "the new standard". It's fucking batshit.

And as I stated before, the only reason this talk is even happening is because people misinterpreted the fuck out of Nasu stating that Fate Grand Order is massively different from his old series and believed that it's somehow non-canon rather than the tone is different between them(There's a reason why he focused on OG Tsukihime during that statement) and that people who came in from OG Tsukihime and loved the tone would be put off by FGO's tone as well as recent series not going in that same area.

wait a minute i remember this
what the fuck :mjlol

Like I said, it was brought up beforehand but I only looked at a few paragraphs and bounced... I really should have looked at this entire thing because holy jesus, we would have material for months if I did.

Dude, I looked at a fucking Bolo and this shit is overrated to fuck. It wouldn't last against any Servant or any Mage worth a toss. Just another series SB wanks the fuck out of like usual.

Hey Bolo's are cool. No hating on tank fren

Then let me make my stance clearer:

No Bolo is soloing a HGW, let alone even taking down a single Servant or Mage worth a toss. SB, like usual, hyperwanks a franchise because they cannot at all understand or fathom what they are talking about so they downplay till it makes no sense.
It's worse because Bolo is a cool concept but like usual, SB runs them straight into the ground due to their absolutely ridiculously dumb take on Sci-Fi leaning.

No, I just tend to try and read synopsis and other means as much as I can and reach a consensus that way. So I'm not pretending to be 100%, it just doesn't help that even doing this I can see a massive amount of discrepancies in how they think it goes vs. how it actually is.
More details?

More details?

Basically, it's more of a combo of not understanding that Servants tending to be "Faster Than Sound" =/= They are restricted to Mach 1 while Bolos tend to be around 500KMPH(Okay, I read it later and apparently, it's even slower on the ground at like 65MPH so yeah, massively slower on land than in the air) in being able to cruise around whether on the ground or in flight:
  • Dungeon Bypass: As they grow bigger and heavier, the concepts of 'obstacle' or 'barrier' become less meaningful — they blow everything in their way up, iron it flat through the sheer weight of their passage, or both. Bolo Mark XXXIII's take it one step further. They are 32,000 tons, have more guns than any previous model, are the largest Bolo type ever made, and, oh yeah, one more thing: it can fly at 500 kilometers per hour (310 m.p.h.) There is literally only one type of obstacle they can't bypass without external assistance - planetary gravity wells.

And they think they can oneshot a Servant in a single attack when as King stated, A Bolo at it's best would be around Country to near Continental which wouldn't be able to solo any HGW to an obvious degree(and the issue with how they think the protection of the Bolo's system can work can stop Servants from phasing in... despite the fact that's not how that works).

So it's been SB's massive misunderstanding of how Fate operates(or sheer refusal) and added onto their basic wank of any Sci-Fi show and fanfiction debates(i.e. SB Competence where they believe Bolos just know what will happen before the opponent does and kill them before they do anything... or a Bolo can just shred a Bounded Field because) and it goes into the usual shit.

Iirc the main guns for Bolos go from megaton-range to up to giga-ton for the really advanced ones. It's been a while though so that might not be accurate.

They can also accurately target and shoot down spacecraft during combat, so while their in-atmosphere speed is way lower they can at least react and target fairly high speed enemies.

They couldn't solo a Grail War but they could take a chunk out of a fair few Servants in a 1 v 1.

The main issue is speed really. A lot of the cast could take her out via DC and/or hax but she is way too fast. Star Rail is entirely lacking any MFTL feat.

Obviously only matters for characters below the Aeons as most of those are omnipresent
@JayK My friend, she may win, but saying there is no MFTL seems a bit odd.

Does he blow up a continent DBZ style on screen?
Yes, it's a DBZ style energy blast. We see him destroying UK-
It gathered its power, then aimed at the nearest, largest population center. Kevin Norton’s birthplace.

The golden light speared forth, and the island shattered, folding, parts of it rising from the ocean. Crumpled like paper in a fist.

The entity did not eliminate the smoke or the waves that followed. It simply let the aftermath occur
Secondly, the entire plot of Golden Morning is that Scion destroyed forty percent of Earths in the multiverse-
We're estimating he's forty percent of the way through," Exalt said.

"Through…"

"Earths. He's waiting before he confronts us again. Lots of guesses going around as to why."
He'd joined the Fallen because all that selflessness and communication had amounted to nothing but whole universes of ruin- great golden beams that had cut through the lens, through the Earth Bet he knew and into the seemingly infinite Earths that were included in that package, that were used for predictions and simulations, for templates and data. It was too vast to comprehend, so people didn't bother comprehending. Nothing meaningful had changed since that point
It happened in a span of two or three days.

Now people in SB use this to wank Scion to universal levels and beyond since forty percent of Earths destroyed in a multiverse with more universes than particles our world significantly dwarfs universal power.

But he uses dimensional travel to hit multiple worlds at once. So a single planet destroying beam can take out a chunk of parallel Earths, and I would not scale him above planet level.

But Scion having that level of power (continental to planetary) is not ambiguous.

See, that works. Him actually just nuking a country on-screen like that can at least pull an actual number.
