Also this thread (like all of SBs attempts at the Circus) inevitably devolve into snipes at the series, the fans of the series and even the creators of the series. People were sniping at Umineko and The Culture because they're strong (the former without even bringing up anything debate related, just that they hated Umineko).

I will say that I think that SB has changed, but it's changed for the worse. The few good people have moved on or been banned for bullshit reasons, and all the worst debators where made mods.

Also thank you on the TTGL stuff. There's still some stuff to track down (as well as potential Trigger retroactive scaling), so the gains will hopefully keep coming.

Like come the fuck on, in the anime we literally see the Time Erasure get reset back to zero along with everyone else's that happened before that.
GER doesn't need to hit you to return shit to zero, it doesn't even need to be TOUCHED. Even the databook ultimately shows it can reset intent back to zero... unreal

That's... basically true.
I usually think their thought process is this:
Servants being FTL and Large Planetary?! That's preposterous... let's see, how can I make that worthless? Okay
1. The Grail Mud argument is obviously bubkiss because EMIYA was able to "move it" thus it can't be that strong and it being a liquid means it can't be that durable, checkmate!
2. They clearly don't strike with the force to destroy even cities so I'll cut that too
3. Shirou being able to compete them at all? Negatory.
4. If they are FTL, why don't they run around anywhere? Don't people know you only use 100000th of energy when you move FTL? Freaking wimps.
5. Shirou and the other humans can somewhat react to and move away from Servants, BOOM!

And so on and so forth.
I usually refer to it as the childishness it actually is, no different than how they believe TIE Fighters would lose to our equivalent Aircraft despite ignoring how stupid strong Turbolasers are.
