Typically, the people who don't have swords or bows/armor are the ones who are "weak as shit"
:rock
Yeah but unless these weapons are explicitly made if some kind of fantasy material or have magic enhancements that the story makes note of, these people will say it's just normal metal and therefore these people are weak. No matter what feats these weapons or the people themselves have.

See kunai in Naruto for probably the most common example of this type of downplay. :maybe

Because it's a series where people have swords and bows and armor and these people take that to mean "weak as shit" in spite of all evidence to the contrary. :mjpls
Manus who, at best had a piece of the Dark Soul and not the whole thing given the Ringed City reveals, created the Abyss that was sucking up kingdoms all over the world. Prime Gwyn would be>>>that

the only thing the setting really lacks is speed feats tbh which Elden Ring seems like it is making up for

She made it sound like this would not have happened if she had not made them, but you must not forget. Magic is a technique of distorting the world's causality for your own purposes. It does not only produce the obvious phenomena right in front of you. It is a dangerous technique that will follow an unexpected path to later cause an unexpected change without the magic user even knowing about it. Aleister Crowley had loathed that and called it sparks and spray.

As I'm not even going to bother responding to my "fan", It literally doesn't even line up with what Gae Bolg does or what Nasuverse Mages do.

Again, Cu's spear, when he's near someone and says the True Name actually does pierce the heart. Sheba can literally invert Cause and Effect that going through the process of publishing and creating copies of a book can happen instantly and with no delay. This only just causes a spell to follow you no matter what and start in you face That doesn't even get across the same deal and it legit doesn't even make sense as it seems to not even hit you immediately which is the anti-thesis of inverting casuality... which is why it says DISTORTING casuality.

It's no shocker, these self-same people believe that Cap's shield doesn't have any shock absorption so
:mjlol

TBF isn't Elden Ring it's own universe (like how Demon's Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro are all separate from the main Dark Souls series).

Meaning those feats are good for the overall franchise but don't actually help the characters in the other games. 🤔

oh no they definitely are separate universes I just meant Elden Ring is making up for what dark souls lacked lol

TBF it's pretty inconsistent on weather the shield stops an attack in it's entirety or if the momentum of it still sends Captain America flying. At least in the movies it is, I'm not sure about the comics.

But obviously generally speaking the shield should stop all the energy dead based on how it was explained to work in Steve's first film.

I'm talking in the context of the comics ofc, where it has a near absolute level of shock absorption, otherwise Caps bones would just melt or he'd get launched into the stratosphere whenever he blocked attacks from OG Tony, Ultron, Hulk, AA, etc.

i don't watch the MCU nor care enough really to comment on that end.

at least Souls has the excuse of being so vague with feats it's easy for people to undersell it, even compared to other souls games
Souls is just a Berzerk fanfic and Bloodborne is just a vague Lovecraft fangame with corporate backing and from a gameplay standpoint we appreciate the gesture.
It's a love letter two authors who know that shit is fucked and nothing you do will fix it, you just have to adapt to it.
TES though goes out of its way to be busted as fuck and I have no clue how you could think it's as weak as they do
What do you expect from a company that allowed this trash fire...

I get the feeling you look down on these two for anything outside of a gameplay standpoint.

....*Sigh*
Even with ChaosTheory's upgrades, he's not clearing anyone on that list...

eh
Miyazaki wears his influences on his sleeve but he's created some ridiculously intricate and unique lore I'll never be able to get enough of.

Idk shit about Lawrence Schick or Elder Scrolls in general aside from what Galo and Atem have told me, I just know it's crazy lol

@Dead Lock

Mind you, adamantium is still basically magic. The origin of the shield made it clear they chemically changed vibranium into adamantium, and therefore there is no reason for it to have any of the properties of vibranium. Since it was no longer vibranium.

That changed later.

It originally didn't. It used to be vibranium but it was transformed into adamantium. Rather than being a vibranium and adamantium composite. It was just plain adamantium. Then writers changed that over time.
I wouldn't argue that his shield still wasn't shock absorbent even when it was just raw vibranium, otherwise he'd get squished against the likes of the Awesome Android which he was still able to block head on.

Though the whole shock absorption part of his shield has been exasperated on more so recently, like in Immortal Hulk.

They called it "Proto-Adamantium" IIRC, and yeah, that shit is magic, and seemingly more durable than just raw Adamantium considering angry Odin-Force Thor only dented it.

But who knows, Marvel writers like to wank the shit out of their super metals.
