Considering that they basically struck out a majority of the bare minimum of VS. debate logic, they can easily ignore Burden of Proof despite still having a rule for it.

Spacebattles does not have any official tiering system. Stating something is "mountain/city/whatever-level" should be explained on their meaning in concrete terms.
We do not use Attack Potency, Destructive Capacity, Piercing Damage, or any other versus specific terminology/scaling argument from any other battleboard.
Don't use calculations from other sites unless they follow this format: 1) provide the full/partial calculation, 2) source the calculation with a hyperlink, and 3) explain why this calculation supports your argument. If you provide an off-site calculation, you are still expected to be able to explain and defend it in both whole and part, as if you've made the calculation yourself. The same applies to "Respect Threads" of other sites.

Seriously again, Manaka's existence completely destroys the Void Shiki wank and it's why Nasu has never stated since that Void Shiki is the strongest being or anything.

Oh no, other parts of their rules is just as fucking stupid, even the simple Burden of Proof rule is needlessly complicated for no reason at all(EDIT: THERE IS NO BURDEN OF PROOF RULE ANYMORE LMFAO!!!):

NONE OF THIS IS EVER USED IN VS. DEBATING IN SPACEBATTLES!

Neither's canon overrides the other. While their abilities will work you need to prove they're effective to the same degree.

The only way to assume equivalency is either through staff intervention or through thread creator fiat. Thread creators are expected to manage these kind of metaphysical interaction questions.

Until it's something like Kiritsugu's Origin Bullet, then it will never follow that rule as it "requires Magical Circuits" despite the fact it explicitly DOESN'T but Genjutsu and things that require a Chakra System or other things of that nature? Perfectly okay.

What mountain level/city level etc are is fairly self-explanatory and shouldn't really require any additional explanation. It simply means a character can destroy a city, mountain, country etc.

Unless they mean how big of one or weather they do it with any attack or a specific one but let's face facts, I'm thinking about this way harder than they are.

They just don't want to deal with series they don't like being a lot stronger than they think they are.
IE Stronger than the series they DO like. :mjpls

That's what make part of that rule retarded but straight up deciding "We can't do DC, Potency, Scaling, etc. anymore because people are too stupid" is some absolute galaxy brain bullshit.
The funny part is they think people outside of Spacebattles is mad about this but I can guarantee they are just further laughing at how inept the forum really is to not have laughed this shit out the room entirely.

Again not even FanVerse has done anything of this calibur despite people trying.

For a long time, they DIDN'T.
Spacebattles only created their VS. Forum recently and considering they was otherwise a Creative Writing/Sci-Fi Forum, it's pretty fucking obvious why their VS. section was always the pits and got so much worse since to the point it's now a well known laughing stock that only the stupid still stay in.
 
In fact, SpaceBattles originally started in the late 90s as a forum for comparing and discussing major sci-fi works like Star Wars and Star Trek alongside its sister forum at the time stardestroyer.net

Both were your go-to forums for online nerd debates of who would win when it came to sci-fi franchises
 
I mean, that's not defeating my point considering that's primarily what it was in terms of just debating Sci-Fi series and little else.
The problem was when it became a general VS. Forum which was recent while still keeping those same standards for Sci-Fi series to everything else.
 
It became the general Vs Forum it is today in 2001 when it made Vs Debates its own section just for that

For as long as I could remember, one of the oldest beefs between OBD and Spacebattles was Star Wars vs Star Trek

OBD generally reps Star Wars, while if you were on Spacebattles, they’d argue in favor of Star Trek for pretty much anything
 
The only difference you can say between now and back then for SB’s vs debate environment besides terrible mods that now run the forum is just a reflection of today’s interests:

Interest today has moved away from topics like debating between factions, military, and sci-fi, and more towards anime / manga and comic book superheroes

That began because SDD.net blasted SB over the OT’s Alderaan destruction

the obd got dragged in afterward because they didn’t stop being blasted and kept pushing subsonic wall level SW

i actually do like factions and sci-fi stuff, maybe cause i like to try my hand at worldbuilding/lore writing in my free time
but yeah that isnt most of whats debated nowadays
but with how SBers act i cannot see any way it would ever have even been fun to discuss even back then
