OH wait that's the Star Platinum The World stand profile, that one has never been translated as using the terms FTL iirc. Here's a fan TL from the past that is consistent with how Viz handled it

It's only the earlier profile from Stone Ocean chapter 17 that uses the terms FTL and has been consistently translated as such, but I don't see that Viz even bothered to translate that one
 
On that note it's kinda funny people try to push Jolyne as a character that struggles with bullets when she does and says this in one of the earliest arcs of the story

Although this one she'd wrapped a bunch of string into the gun but it was still before he could even notice it while firing lol

I am curious if the raws for King Crimson referencing the universe specifically said that originally, since no other fan TL used that wording but Viz did

I think Viz just views it as hyperbole and doesn’t think he’s that fast

King Crimson doesn’t mention universe as far as I know, he says “world” in Japanese and leaves it at that

nah Viz actually kept the ftl translation, it’s just that the later SP: TW bio never mentions the speed of light at all

so based on all available TLs it looks like Viz has translated both accurately

They have a bunch of translators that do different series, so the quality of the translations will vary depending on who you get. The one for Kagurabachi can't seem to decide whether to localize the names of the swords / attacks and has changed the spelling of characters. The woman you mentioned had a different spelling to her name last chapter and people were confused on if that was a new character or the same one.

Most likely, it's because of the fight against Gwess where Joylne was stuck in the killbox area and she was going to unshrink her and she would get shot to death...
The problem is that people would ignore that she would ultimately get tired and get killed with no way to get out as her Stand wasn't strong enough at the time to bend the Metal Bars.

I've seen people bring it up because of something during the Savage Garden arc or something, it just seems like a pretty low end given early on it's not just Stone Free deflecting bullets she straight up comments on 'mere bullets' being kinda trivial

while she wasn't even looking at one point too. Stone Free is dramatically faster than the meteorites were, I'm just speaking in regards to people placing her at subsonic and claiming she 'struggles with bullets' which isn't true

Even the one or two things that may hurt Fiamma don’t matter with the insane speed gap just from characters Fiamma scales to.

There’s ordinary trained humans and low level Espers / Magicians in Toaru with better speed feats than anyone in Overlord
