Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 5: Diamonds are fleeting. Stupid lasts forever

What're you referring to?
Touma and Othinus both being able to react to the latter's crossbow shots going from one end of the universe to the other in a short time period. 🤨

It's like, one of the most notable parts of the volume (the sequence of Touma dodging all the various crossbow shots, anyway), besides Touma's "it bothers me" speech.

It's not even the most impressive speed feat in the series at that, either.

Not exactly a movement feat though, is it?

I'm aware that there are a number of FTL/MFTL feats in the series, but literally all of them are either projectiles moving at that speed or attacks proliferated at that speed. Pretty much no one in the series has actually managed to move at SoL speeds, let alone FTL. The closest we have is Touma reacting to such projectiles, like the example you referenced above, but even that can be chalked down to a mixture of precog and aim dodging.

Dude, why would anyone in SB take our designations and use them as such when they never used any differences in DB's anime vs. it's manga like we do?
Precisely, since SB rarely specifies anime vs manga, anything does in most cases
The irony is that I'm not even fighting you on this or saying that Meltryllis curbstomps DBZ, I'm stating she has the means to defeat Perfect Cell and loses to Super Perfect Cell not including TOEILand. No need to be defensive over me correcting you.
How was that defensive?

...That's not even how that works...
SB "rarely specifying it" does not stop the fact that they never used the distinction of TOEILand for their debates or taken anything the anime stated seriously.

How was that defensive?

I shouldn't have to explain the obvious...

99% of the time DBZ threads are used on SB, it’s going to be using the anime, especially for DB Super

Clearly not. Seems more like your hoping this what somehow defensive

Villains team:
  • 6 paths of Pain (Naruto)
  • Megumi Sukuna (JJK)
  • Post rose meruem (HxH)
  • Makima (CSM)
  • Muzan (Demon Slayer)
  • Lady Nagant (MHA)
  • Crocodile (One Piece pre timeskip)

Can't wait to hear how all of these dudes can somehow destroy the F/SN Servants individually despite how SB themselves downplay these same villains outside of Makima and Sukuna. Still remember the infamous Lady Nagant vs. Archer thread where Nursery unironically stated that Lady Nagant is tougher than she looks because she was still alive after taking AFO exploding his Quirk within her... ignoring she was on Death's Door and needed medical attention and literally only woke up to assist Deku in a single shot weeks to a month later... and she was still in absolutely horrid condition.

And another thread has become the typical SB garbage with Siriel again dropping in lies, Sheldon being Sheldon and anyone actually bringing up anything remotely factual is treated like lepers(Again, it's not like they are helping themselves again fully capitulating to them in the first place)

  • Thinking John could survive "depending on the game".
  • Thinking John could make LEON look like an amateur as if any RE protagonist wouldn't absolutely embarrass him.
  • Even bringing up shit like Nemesis, the Bakers and Miranda as if a basic fucking Licker wouldn't murder him.
  • Miranda being the strongest when Simmons, Wesker, Alexia etc exist.
People in the comments saying he'd survive everything but 7 and 8? 7 and 8 are two of the easiest Resident Evil games to survive , that's why a dude with very little military training at all is able to do it and why Chris is so fucking OP when you actually get to play him in those games.

John is FUCKED essentially the second that he's not dealing with average zombies, bosses are by and large out of the question and frankly a lot of the stronger normal non-boss BOWs are going to be way too much.

A Licker murks John. The Licker gets murked by Mr. X. Mr. X gets super casually murked by Miranda, and she gets murked by Wesker after he becomes superhuman by RE standards(fucker can casually dodge machinegun bullets and sniper rounds at close-range without aim-dodge and even catches a few mid-fire at points just to flex) with Birkin's virus. Bro would just style on that woman if he took Ethan's place, never mind how badly he'd murder John:kobeha.

And don't even get me started on Alexia :mjlol . That bitch was so powerful when she initially transformed that Wesker, after gaining the power of the virus within him, with all that casual bullet-catching speed and strength, ran away like a bitch in the original Code Veronica as soon as she revealed herself and he felt her overwhelming presence. In CV:X, he lands a full-force superman punch to her face after going matrix-style to dodge her fire attack and all it does is make her take a small step back, but she is otherwise unfazed.

She's also the victim of the plot, as with what she displays in the game, she absolutely could've easily crushed both Chris and Claire at that point in time if she went in, but her arrogance kept her playing with them, which resulted in the Redfields being able to turn the tides and defeat her(with help from her father post-mortem via a weapon specifically designed to hard-counter her, lol. They'd have still been fucked, otherwise.)

God forbid we count what the novelization had her be able to do with her being able to view and telekinetically move shit around on Rockfort Island all the way from bloody Antarctica(they're thousands of miles apart, for reference). That shit only made her sandbagging just to make the Redfields suffer for Alfred's death even more apparent.

Circling back to John, my guy would need a miracle to get passed Raccoon City's outbreak if he ran into anything other than a zombie or zombie dog. And even IF we give him the benefit of the doubt and say he could manage to make it to the end, even against RE2's bosses somehow, peeps like Wesker(pre-ouroburos) rake his ass over the coals, and Alexia rakes Wesker over the coals, when she's not being hindered by plot.

There's tiers to this shit, as I know you know, and even being super nice to John, he gets stopped and killed long before we reach the current-day timeline of RE. Shit, since Code Veronica comes right after RE2 chronologically, if we say he miraculously makes it out of RE2(and ignore RE3 and Nemesis), and plop him in Claire's place, he's getting grounded into paste the nano-second Alexia decides it's time to get out of the pod, even with plot-armor. Presuming he even lasts to her, that is.:heston

how strong is Wesker not familiar with RE at all

Bare in mind, Chris Redfield the guy Wesker's making look like a joke there

Did this. :maybe

Wesker's also knocked a thick steel door to the ground by kicking Chris into it in an earlier boss fight, comics have him killing Tyrants with simple roundhouse kicks.

Then there's THIS fucking tank who takes some absurd shit only to lose a hand to hand fight with Jake Muller who is Wesker's son.

I doubt it, to be honest. There are several instances where a projectile is fired at him and THEN he moved in response:

…The second shot seemed to skim the ground as it was fired behind him and diagonally to the left.
Kamijou crouched down and the arrow passed over his head and swept across the world.
Its trajectory was angled downward slightly and it created a giant valley in that black-dyed world.
…The fifth shot came from directly in front of him.
His movements to the left and right were already sealed off and now Othinus had thrown a straight pitch.
For the first time, Kamijou swung his right hand. But not in a straight impact meant to destroy. He scooped his hand up from below, traced his hand along the surface of the arrow, and diverted its trajectory upwards.

Also the fight makes literally no sense if Touma's just aim dodging (aka he's a snail from her perspective) while Othinus is seriously trying to hit him, especially given that she's shown the ability to change the trajectory of her attacks mid-flight.

She and Kamijou had to be the same. They were both pouring all their strength into defeating their opponent.

Touma talks about his "specs" not mattering but he blatantly matches Othinus near the end (who herself admits could defeat her, despite the fact that even if she's mentally exhausted he should literally have no way to harm her).

He evolves the same way against CRC by not relying on the Dragons (and also he's blatantly superhuman in that fight, both by his own actual strength feats and the narration hyping him up).

"The Imagine Breaker and The Invisible Thing trying the same and failed."

I'm going to assume this guy just forgot because the former very clearly negated Gungnir at the end of NT9 (which isn't exactly impressive, but I digress) lol.

His fist reached the sharp tip of Gungnir.
In that instant, all sound vanished from the world.
The kind world vanished and everything was dyed in black.
When Kamijou Touma’s right fist struck it, the lance veered sharply upward.
When Othinus held up her hand, the lance rotated complexly and began to fly back to her hand through the black sky.
But it never completed the action.
The lance broke apart in midair and completely disintegrated before returning to Othinus like a boomerang.
