Circus of Humorous & Humiliating Arguments Part 5: Diamonds are fleeting. Stupid lasts forever

He meant one of them got killed by Reanimen while a different one was stronger than Mark. The different Marks have a wildly disparate power level
Uh no?

I said from being beat by reanimen to possibly being stronger than canon mark.

The mark that died to the reanimen was specifically weaker than canon mark

Still wonder how they was able to get that one of them is stronger than Mark is canonically... but I get it.

I mean like I said, in comics Omni-Mark stated he killed his father, and then he died during the invincible war by earth's heroes (choked out by a yo-yo).

Sinister Mark survived the war, and when they got trapped in the desolate dimension with the other Marks, with the help of Mohawk Mark, killed the "most annoying Mark", Mohawk Mark then fucked off and we are to assume that Sinister Mark managed to kill the rest of the Marks.

Like you said however, it depends on how Omni-Mark killed his father or if the Marks helped Sinister kill the rest of them till he was the only one left.

Also the tv show is doing things differently as Omni-Mark actually survives and lives instead of dying to yo-yo.

I mean, a Gamma Ray Burst by itself means nothing. It's the most energetic phenomenon in the universe simply because of the sheer magnitude of mass expelled and the forces involved- in simpler words, an artificial GRB would not be as strong as a natural one if it was not as large as a natural one. It's like comparing a nuke to the sun just because both work on the same principle

The GRB in One Punch Man was smaller than a planet, it took place in one. There's no reason to think the energies involved come anywhere close to a real one, especially when the manga goes out of the way to say it follows the same physics as a real one. Someone calculated the feat in VSB, and it comes at large planet level.

It was Serius Punch Squared, as the name implies- the forces here are being squared and it's not something either one of them can do alone without resonance. Even a moon level attack becomes multi-star level when its magnitude is squared. Plus, Garou losing his shit over Saitama sneezing away Jupiter contradicts them being star level.

That being said, Blast and Empty Void can also solo Invincible as far as I know, so it's not just Saitama and Garou alone who can survive. Then there's God, of course.
What can Blast and Empty Void do precisely? What's their stats?

Can they go up against an entity that can has the power to eat or absorb the universe like Omnipotus?

And doesn't Invincible have like a multiverse (not that that that has any bearing for the stats of individual characters on their own whatsoever, but Angstrom Levy can BFR people to other universes and summon other fighters from other universes, even opened a portal to Dc or Marvel)?

Blast can trade blows with early Cosmic Garou to an extent and managed to contain SP Squared. He needed help to yeet the force elsewhere but he was keeping it contained himself.

Empty Void has some kind of dimension slash he can use from outside normal space-time

Invincible scaling makes no sense in general tbh
Mark has been consistently hurt by beings that should have zero reason to have hurt him despite being on the level above Anissa(who basically toyed the shit out of Mark in their "fight") after his training(even getting hurt by Reani-Men who couldn't even do any real damage to Nolan) meanwhile, you have the Invincible War that's full of SEASON 1-Tier Invincibles(I do love that people brought up that they should all scale to Season 3 Invincible which is... no... none of them trained at all unlike Mark did post-Anissa, why the fuck would they train at all?) basically not even getting scratched by heroes that could throw down with people who could hurt Mark.

Also about this. I don't really think so?

Haven't caught up on the series past s1 so I could be wrong but aren't the creatures that mark faces that actually manage to injure him, outside of viltrumites or those on that level, are literal Kaiju? We already know that Kaiju can threaten even Nolan from s1 (admittedly it was on steroids)

Then he fought the depth dweller, which was only really a problem cause of its sound attack, it only gave him a nosebleed.

Hell the Kaiju he fought this season were literally said to be born in the pressure of of the earth's crust, which I think is a sufficient explanation for why Mark couldn't just blow right through them, that and then being poisoned.

Only time where I think that Mark actually gets beaten by someone who shouldn't be able to hurt him is the alternate Maulers ganging up on him.

Outside of that I think Invincible's scaling is fine.

Nah he consistently gets injured by threats that just don’t hold up to scrutiny the maulers are a big one (it’s not just a crowd of alternate maulers they consistently manage to bash mark around/make him bleed despite kid omniman killing them with ease)

holdsback man
My issue with this is even holding back it really doesn’t make much sense they can hurt him, unless holding back also massively nerfs his durability for some reason. In general the show just doesn’t seem to have a set idea of how much it takes to hurt viltrimites.

In a sense it is but the actual issue is that you have at random points Mark being taken out or bleeding from shit that shouldn't have phased him at all if he's supposed to be at a level of a typical Viltrumite.
The Comics went with due to how Viltrumites hold back, they literally get weaker the weaker they pull their punches which is why Mark can be hurt by things that normally shouldn't hurt him when he can hold back a 5 Mile Asteroid and push it away no problem or the other few strength feats he does.
I don't think the Show itself ever established that so it just comes off like Mark's power level makes no sense when he then gets cut or hurt by things that shouldn't have ever done so(Same shit with Angstrom Levy considering we now know he didn't die from Mark's full on savage beating in Season 2 and he was going all out for that but we are supposed to believe Debbie cutting him can hurt but he's not liquefied from Mark's attacks?
I can also see why some... "special" people would end up taking that route as well despite it also being a thing in fiction in general.

Last time we had a thread like this, it was against ORT... needless to say, it made zero sense outside of "ORT either accidentally kills itself against Cain or destroys everything else but Cain and leaves due to prioritizing survival after devouring and getting info from everything else to fear Cain".

...But Megukuna with Mahoraga is supposed to "easily solo" everyone here?! Yeah no, that's a far bigger pill to swallow considering what the Methuselah is capable of, let alone meeting Cain and dying.

I mean, from what I've read (and I've actually gone and read several of the oWoD sourcebooks, alongside other material) it's basically the same situation either way

ORT/Sukuna both stomp 99% of the setting and then die to Cain, the capital G God, any sphere 4-5 Mage, high level spirits, etc

Been a while I started searching for whatever potentially stupid threads from CBR for us to clown on...

Is this thread actually accurate or not?

What's the consensus for OPM characters vs Invincible characters here?

@Derpmaster9000 @Cryso Agori @Xhominid The Apex @OtherGalaxy
im not even against the star void feat any more but even without it baldy and the other guy are still large planet which afaik is punching above Viltrumites

Siriel schooling these Dies Irae plebes

:hestonpls

A lot of the stuff minus the direct Japanese translations Siriel used I’d have probably picked up myself because as usual, it’s wank with context and other feats left out to make the characters more than what they are

Not to mention a really garbage “tier list” by the author that’s hilariously inconsistent to what the characters actually do.

But I refuse to read a spin-off about literal ****phile vampire. The worst of the Nazis that Masada could have picked to make a main character.

The issue is that's primarily what the Methuselah are and Sukuna has no means of dealing with them at all(I'm not even sure dude gets from that WCS can do something to them).

Aight went to the PC. We had this discussion a month ago tops on the other forum.

Long story short:
Bubble Universes we know of range anywhere from Solar System to galaxy sized which means we have to look at those as the norm and not assume there are some universal sized BUs. Solar Systems and galaxies within the Imaginary Tree would also check out with a universal sized structure.

The Equilibrium governs the entire Imaginary Tree and an Arbitrator/Emanator of Equilibrium states this about the Imaginary Tree:

You have completed the first trial of the Equilibrium, further establishing the equilibrium between yourself and the universe.

anime ver.= Regulus is an immortal football that can on occasion instantly kill people if the attack hits(he has 0 accuracy).
anime really nerfed Regulus to the point he looks like someone who dose not know How to fight.

Uh? Isn't this how Regulus usually is?!
:heston :jordangif:risigif
Kinda weird to act like he was anymore competent in the LN when he was described as not knowing how to fight at even the bare minimum and also completely missed Subaru using WATER DROPS as an attack because he doesn't even do the bare minimum to AIM.

Like come on man, don't act like the Anime made Regulus dumber when that's not true.

EDIT: I think the anime actually made Regulus defensively stronger for the asskicking Emilia gave him once he lost his ability since it was basically "Lose ability, bitch out, then Subaru sics Reinhard on him"
