Death Battle Discussion

I watched it! I couldn't help but smile throughout it as they brought up all of the stuff about Simon that I worked so hard on. :TrgJustice: :LioHype:

That being said, I will go over the DB blog now, as I said I would (also in no particular order)...

Awww, FUCK YEAH! :LioHype:

About time the Triggerverse got referenced! I'm unsure how scaling from Gurren Lagann to other series within works still, but it's always worth bringing up (we will have to wait to see if Luluco season 2 comes out).

This was done by Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann, but given the Anti-Spiral is far beyond SGGL it's pretty safe to assume that the Anti-Spiral can also do this. Everything else is correct.

I don't actually remember the Anti-Spiral erasing the Visaka (it was defeated by Viral in Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann), though they did conjure it into being.

WHAT?! :AmOh: :Luluco:

Ok this is completely new to me to the point I'm not even sure what this is from. In anycase, good job on finding this DB. Would scale to Yoko (along with an alternate Yomoko being able to throw chalk between universes).

I remember Gurren Lagann being a counter to dimensional tiering, because back in the day people thought TTGL capped at universal because of the schematics over the word 'universe' being used.

These two are correct though, objectively. :kermit

I'm not sure if Simon absorbed the whole Labyrinth or just the parts/universes that involved him (or versions of himself), but in any case it's the same difference in the end as Simon still scales to all the Simons & all their powers (including Otoko Simon).

I'm confused if this commentary is talking about the galaxies being universes or something about the Super Spiral Space. Hopefully someone will look into the translation fully one day.

So this may have been done by a human translator (Hakanai Blue). "Twenty dimensional" & "two-fold dimension" could both be seen as valid translations, but DB favours the latter. :LioPringles: The R > F transcendance is more impressive than this, but anyway.

Awwwwww...FUCK YEAH! :LioHype:

Mathematically that's probably the case (though there's also the zoom-in during the final battle of KLK to consider which could mathematically make it the biggest Trigger series, though if anyone scales to that is still up for debate), though Gridman may actually be more layers into R > F than Gurren Lagann is.

This is why they are the best. :Jiub:

Oh so NOW acknowledge KLK If is acknowledged as being canon. :oh

The link for this is broken.

Yggdrasil also warps space & dimensions even in a near-deathlike space to create pocket worlds, plus the timeloop from Chamber of Time causing the stars to increase in luminousity & affect other dimensions. Yes LWA is way more broken than people give it credit for.

Great to see LWA, Luluco & Promare getting well deserved attention (although strange that Galo de Lion & the interdimensional nature of the Promare isn't brought up). They are among my all time favourite series! :TrgJustice: :LioHype:

This is now the second time DB have used my respect threads for one of my all time favourite series (and when said series in question have won).
By the way, can I ask if the regular universe in Gurren Lagann is infinite in size or not?

Damn, they actually went with metafictional and Dimension Tiering in order to quantify just who had the greater upper limits between two characters that can warp reality on an infinite Multiversal scale

:hestonpls

Congrats to Simon for being the first non-Marvel cape to defeat a DC character in Death Battle
And we all know for sure a certain someone is clearly gonna be having a field day with this episode and get ecstatic masturbating to it like a dude does to Pornhub. :maybe
:vegetalaugh:

Neither Superfriends Aquaman or Harley Quinn are DC Heralds, lad. Harley is for the streets and SF Aquaman is a joke character with practically nothing to him. A Herald is a cosmic character in DC. :mjlol
Seriously Simon is more impressive considering he actually beat a cosmic heavyweight nobody cares about Harley n fucking SF Aquaman

So anyways after finishing the Simon vs Kyle Death Battle episode last night, I thought the episode was pretty damn interesting as much as the MU itself and most of the battle animation was kinda cool and epic. NGL, Kyle summoning a giant construct of Superman with a sword and shield went hard. Even if I still disagreed with the outcome, seeing as despite giving both combatants their best assets and scaling, their reasoning for Simon winning was kinda clearly based on a no-limits fallacy like "the stronger your opponent is, the more you'll adapt and absorb their power back against them".

However my only mild disappointment here that remains is that the outcome of the fight itself won't be causing some actual goddamn salt from someone who's still a fan of his pet series stalking this board to which I will not call out by name (for now).

What a missed opportunity for seeing such potentially hilarious ugly outbursts.

Oh well I guess.
