If there's one character in Death Battle I wanted to see get butchered by his opponent it was Obito, and they go screw Vader out of a win with this tomfoolery.

Oh well... Phoenix vs Raven. I only really know Raven from the Teen Titans cartoon, never looked into any TT comics to see what she's all about, but I always assumed she was a bit further down the card then the likes of Dr. Fate or Zatanna, while I know Jean Grey has had some ridiculous showings over the years.

I prefer Raven but I'm predicted Jean Grey, unless I've misjudged how high Raven sits on the food chain which is entirely possible since again I don't know too much about Teen Titans lore. I guess Trigon classifies as one of her rogues, so I'm assuming most of her high end stuff will be linked to things involving him.

I’ll be rooting for Jean. But I did do some digging and I found Raven became something called “The Unkindness” which boosted her beyond what even Trigon scaling would get her potentially https://comixnow.com/2021/10/17/page-preview-and-covers-of-shazam-4-comic-a21/?amp

There’s more to it but from the bits and pieces I’ve found online she essentially eats the DC Multiverse growing more powerful the more she absorbs, and the only way she was beaten was preventing this version of her from coming into existence through time travel shenanigans.

Though ultimately I still think White Phoenix of the Crown can take it for starting out at a higher level (representative of the life force across the multiverse and existing outside of everything in the white hot room) rather than absorbing a bunch of shit to eventually reach a certain level.

The unkindness isn't something Raven has access to nor is it some IG deal like Thanos
 
Anyone else notice that sometimes these previews have the person who ends up winning the DB look like they’re losing?

Stitch vs Rocket Raccoon’s preview was a good back and fourth but you than had Killua toying with Misaka and then Vader looking like the one in control of the fight against Obito throughout that preview too

Don’t know why but the second half of the fight with Obito going Juubi was pretty meh.

Vader calling down a random fighter rather than the Death Star (especially since they’ve got Juubito at planet level) was particularly underwhelming.
 
The gall of DeathBattles to assert illusions and hypnosis would even be relevant to actual mind-control and telepathy is beyond stupid. The Force exists within different dimensions, universes, realities, and planes, including states of being where there both IS and ISN'T time or space existing in it. Tutaminis, Telepathy, Precognition, Battle-Rage, etc...

Obito would get a thrown lightsaber impaled through his skull before he could react the moment the fight started. And Senju or/Senjutsu chakra was fucking up Obito in his Ten-Tailed Absorbed form, necessitating that vital regen to survive. The Force can be used atomize things with pure telekinetic might or precision, its how Force-Users create their lightsaber crystals or construct Holocrons. Obito trying to fire a Truthseeker Orb would just get absorbed and then reamplified and fired back at him and he dies since we just assert Senjutsu being "life energy" = "the Force" except Chakra has nowhere near the scales to feats or magnitude the Force does.
 
DB does Vader dirty. Lost to Doom, goes dormant for years, his former master gets a win on DB, finally brings him back only to lose to one of Shounen manga’s worst villains. Can’t tell what’s worse. Vader getting an L twice now, or it being against Obito of all people.

Legitimately Obito with Juubito's power has no chance of winning this.
