Death Battle Discussion

Personally with how the outcome of this episode went I wouldn't be surprised if Agent 47 vs Spy (another one they wanted to do) gets flubbed too, since it'd at least be just as ridiculous as this episode if 47 wins :mjlol

@Claudio Swiss I'd forgotten how much of a dumbass that Chronicplane guy could be. Man's basically ignoring all points brought up as to why Vader got robbed, and takes the special kid route, when it comes to differing opinions.:mjlol

he just want to enjoy the episode thats it :catskully
this MU just had fuckery written in it
Which he can easily do, by ignoring the discourse surrounding it, which he's failing to do, every time he feels the need to respond, and clearly gets more and more annoyed, when he shouldn't.

he just needs to relax its gonna be a rough two weeks
For me, I ain't paying a wink of attention to the discourse. Hardly ever do. When Raven vs Jean Grey comes up, I'll be invested, since I actually like Raven as a character, and one of the only series of (american)comics I own, is the old Teen Titans run with her in it, plus her character from the TT TV show, which while rather different from the comic version, still has aspects that made me a fan of comic Raven in the first place.

If she ends up losing, it's whatever. Won't like seeing her get offed by Phoenix, but won't bitch about it either. If she wins though, even if its bullshit, I'll be a happy camper.

For all of about five minutes, before I move on. :heston

idc for the MU if the fights good cool if it aint its just another shit female episode on the show
no different lol

make it worth my time at least

they better cook so hard that niggas that were like talking shit end up loving it :mjgrin
It'd be fitting for a MU with these two to genuinely go hard, as there's a load of shit they can do, and having the first women's MU in a long time that ain't 'eh' or just garbage, and actually great, being a Raven MU, would be pretty sweet, at least in my opinion.

Now, will they though? Track record says no :mjlol , but since they threw the gauntlet down on Twitter, I'm gonna bury them if this flops. Don't throw out hype, if you're not capable of matching it.:mjpls

@OrlandoSky get ur ass here come on on buddy it's been awhile since I seen you here offer ur take
Sorry I've been working multiple jobs so I haven't had as much time for vs stuff.
Yeah, I think Vader should have stomped.
-Contrary to what the black box says I think Kamui is pretty much a non-factor. I heard someone say that Vader could use Dimension Shift if thats the case he could just nullify Kamui or (like in the fight) he could just use Shatterpoint to crush Obito's eye and prevent him from using it again. He can regenerate the eye when going in Jinchuuriki mode but then he can't use kamui anymore so it wouldn't make a difference. Some people on VSBW argued that Obito could just get a new eye from his hundreds of sharingan canisters but he has to manually go in and pop each one in, one at a time and Vader would just keep popping them. Even if he was transported to the kamui dimension it doesn't make sense for him not to use the force since the Force has proven to exist even in other dimensions (also because of equalization rules)
-Juubito can use IT (Madara was worried about not stopping him in time) but there are two problems here. 1) He needs 15 minutes for the tree to bloom and he's not stalling Vader for that long and 2) Juubito would be caught up in the IT as well...it would be a Double KO. The whole point of his mission was because he WANTED to live in his fantasy dream land and not be in the real world anymore. Especially if Vader can resist IT, the fight would end the exact opposite, Obito would be out staring into space and Vader would be the one that kills him
-Also pre-Jinchuuriki Obito doesn't have access to the full Six Paths like Pain, since he only has one Rinnegan and a sharingan. The only paths he's shown to use were Outer, Human and Preta Path, so him and Vader stalemating in a force push is also inaccurate.
-I think it's weird that they gave Obito the Juubi, it made sense with Madara since he was fighting Aizen with the Hogyoku but they were essentially giving him outside help on top of that which is also a disregard for their rules.
-The Juubi calc seems way off, but the same thing happened with the Deku calc (where they pumped the island cloud parting feat as Country+ level because they counted the mass of the clouds as actual water). Not gonna say anything further on that but I do just have a general distaste for DB always intentionally using the highest of the high end calcs for any feat any type of scaling a character can possibly get for the sake of "giving them the benefit of the doubt" because it will always just lead to ridiculously inflated calcs and there's already enough of that on VSBW

This is the only episode I saw since the hiatus (not for any particular reason I've just been busy) but I've also noticed a change with DB recently. They've been working with less RT animators, especially 3d (just Artemis and Fischer from what I'm seeing on the wiki), they're also apparently not working with Sound Cadence anymore (who're their audio/engineering/talent coordination and direction team since Season 3 or 4 I think). Imo I think there might've been budget cuts hence the long hiatus, limited animators and cutting down on outsourcing. idk if RT didn't like how much they were spending on this show or if this is their response to Ben publicly standing up for staff members being transphobically and racially discriminated against. idk That's just what I was thinking I could be wrong

But anyway, lol yeah that's what's been on my mind.

alright i see i understand real life be like that

Additionally, I think the Jean/Raven one is gonna be like the Zatanna/Wanda episode where they say both characters could theoretically be scaled up to infinity so it will come down to whose smarter/more creative/has more combat experience.

Didn't care for Weiss vs Mitsuru. Harley vs Jinx was alright. Nothing great, looking back, but Jinx netting a W definitely helps it. :mjlol

Obito wouldn’t be affected by Infinite Tsukuyomi unless he intentionally shut off his Rinnegan eye.
