composite would include Alternity (and G-Shock sealing the Dark Spark but I know they wouldn’t even know that exists) and I don’t see how standard Superman would beat that without some mega form (unless they just lowball TF again I guess)

The crux of Goku vs Superman 3 was the Miracle Machine feat which they took as Outerversal because Monitors managed to use it to erase themselves from existence. I personally think characters should only scale to what they did with the MM (So like Green Lantern is only low multiversal with it), but DB just scaled Supes to the full extent of what it can do.

Thinking about that, fuck I hope they change their opinion on it for Simon vs Kyle because that would be some Grade A ass reasoning for Kyle getting the W.
 
Simon vs Kyle will be one of hell of a fucking ride.

Imagine if Simon loses, someone out there is gonna pop a big bloody blood vessel.

I also wonder what other series or character would anime/manga or japanese media as a whole have as an alternatively fitting equivalent to Kyle Rayner, Hal Jordan, or the Green Lanterns?

If Kyle wins, he will most likely win due to the Life Equation, which is absolutely fine if they use that as the justification. You have to use very out-of-context interpretations with GLs killing Mandrakk or high end using the Miracle Machine to make GL/WL win otherwise because STTGL trashes them.

So stat and scaling-wise, STTGL has the higher floor compared to Kyle and the Green Lanterns, but the latter still has a vastly much higher ceiling?

Again, what other anime/manga series or character would make an actual good MU for the Green Lanterns in similar abilities/powers of forming energy constructs out of willpower or imagination?

does db actually use the term/tier outerversal now lol? didnt watch the episode to know, that is some odd scaling though

they didn't use the term but apparently behind the scenes that's what they used because quite frankly it's the only direct thing Superman has without sundips or stretching too hard because like yes, the Miracle Machine erased the Monitors. It's just Superman's feat with the miracle machine was realistically only Orrery level.

DB tends to highball characters so I’ve been thinking what would be the dumbest highballs they could give Joker and Giorno.

For Joker my guess would be taking the SMT scaling to the absolute extreme and giving him the same stats as YHVH.

And for Giorno my guess would be scaling GER’s Hax to D4C’s range (able to traverse and take different versions of characters from infinite parallel worlds) for potency even though everything from SBR onward should not be scalable to characters from the previous universe and Vice Versa.

Does that sound about right?
 
yeah scaling to D4C is probably the furthest they could take it. iirc jojo a gogo has a point blank “GER>every other Stand” statement which while it obviously predates SBR, given how loose they play with these things I could see them accepting it
