Death Battle Discussion

So from what I gathered so far from you guys: the outcome was mostly correct but Unicron got downplayed and lowballed to death along with TF cosmology itself?

And is the fight itself still closer and fairer than Superman vs Goku on the same show? Just curious.
Their Goku vs Superman videos are interesting entities on their own since they pretty much serve as proof that they still composite characters regardless of what Ben testifies or counts as a character composition, going against the clear cut "definitive main versions of the characters going at each other" style.
It was never really Goku (Main canon) vs Superman (Main canon) they were all variations.
GvS1: Goku (GT/Toeiland canon + Super Android 13) VS Superman (Post-Crisis)
GvS2: Goku (Pre-GT Toeiland canon + BoG & RoF) VS Superman (Post-Crisis + New 52)
GvS3: Goku (DBH/XV) VS Superman (Infinite Frontier)

They've gotten better about it I just think it's interesting that they still to this day add on non-canon material and adaptations to feats because "It's basically close enough to being the same character they're just in a separate timeline/canon than the main one." Like even casuals on Reddit and Youtube know the difference between canon and non-canon material.

So which fight do you think is closer:
Galactus vs Unicron

Or

Infinite Frontier Superman vs Heroes/Xenoverse Goku

Still haven’t finished watching Goku vs Superman Round 3 yet btw.

Only English speakers see Piccolo as black, the rest of the world doesn't. While the majority of Death Battle's audience is English speakers, there will probably be more than one person who isn't from the US who will be upset when they find out.
Well, I'm not a native English-speaker, I always watched DBZ with the Mexican dub for LatAm (I love Carlos Segundo's performance), and while I never thought of Piccolo that way, I didn't mind when I found out. I found it odd, but it's quite inconsequential to be honest.

As for Knuckles...
I mean, the OST for the Knuckles stages in the Adventure era probably had a lot of impact on that too. Every Knuckles stage in SA2 had that 90s style rap in the background and his theme song in those games was a blend of rap and R&B; you don't hear those tracks and associate it with whiteness.
...this sums it up pretty well. But, I'm with Regular-Nothing Eric here. I don't see them as part of any human ethnicity

Galacron is a lot closer. So much, that it can easily go either way

1. if the UNs effects can be escaped by jumping dimensions, unicron should be able to avoid it comically easily, two of his biggest things (even beyond being really really strong) is that hes can jump between dimensions and is really really ungodly fucking hard to kill

2. as mentioned before the tf cosmology got lowballed, as did unicron kind of

3. not really scaling related but i honestly just... do not like the fight set up. haha space food fight is funny but it really isnt interesting to me, and i feel like there were much better avenues to show the personalities of both combatants and better contrast galactus "force of nature, i do what i must do to survive" vs unicron "i am going to beat you to death"
on that note even outcome/scaling aside, they show Unicron surviving the UN in the video itself but then list the UN as the wincon after, which makes me think they kinda just didn’t know how to actually wrap it up

@OtherGalaxy So what do you think is the closer DB MU: Galacron or SuperGoku?
Galactus and Unicron since I don’t think that one has an actual clear winner. Superman at his peak is way beyond anything any Goku has shown so far (this is how DB’s final GvS went right?)

I take it even the non-canon Heroes/Xenoverse feats still pale in comparison to Cosmic Armor Superman or Infinite Frontier Superman at his peak.

Xeno/Heroes stuff is certainly strong but as far as I know does not measure up to Superman’s best stuff and apparently Infinite Frontier made all of his feats ever canon to that version or something

So still a one-sided stomp in favor of Superman that's just slightly less stompy than the first two rounds of their match-up?
