Point Gohan slacking off rodeo was kinda debunked when the man practically confirmed he didn't
. Is it really training at that point? Dude couldn't even lift Piccolo's weights, could barely sense his ki and has negative muscle mass again at the start of the movie. There wasn't really much to prove Piccolo wrong tbh. Especially with these new chapters that Toriyamma supposedly looks over(we all know he doesn't but just roll with it )
