I'm confuse how this shit fly when you're the strongest shit in the universe.

:kannasip I know it's a trope but there's a lot of plot armor not to get one-shot by the mc for betraying him when he has the power to kill the demon king unless his companion is just stronger than him.

He was originally a kind-hearted naive stereotypical hero. They tricked him, for example the princesses knights threaten to exterminate his village unless he surrenders which he does. But they end up killing them anyway because the princess is a cruel sadistic bitch. The day before his execution when his best friend came down to his cell to tell him how their entire friendship was a lie and that he betrayed him. Then rubbed in his face how his sister was violated before she was killed. Also as a small child, he came back from gathering herbs with his sister to find his home village on fire, his mother gruesomely murdered, and the empire's top general bemoaning arriving too late, blaming the Demon King for the atrocity. It's only after he's betrayed by the princess that he knows the truth, that the general is a depraved cannibal, and ultimately responsible for the carnage, including eating his mother's womb, and that the demons were innocents.

Honestly this doesn’t sound so bad. Redo is irredeemably trashy from basically fetishing revenge porn. As long as the protagonist doesn’t stoop to that level and is primarily only going after those that wronged him, you can still make a decent story of the MC slowly regaining his humanity and former idealogy

At least Christopher Walken's I wanna be like you was ironically funny given it was Christopher Walken doing it. Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin both had a good original song apiece and, though their versions of the songs weren't as good, they weren't half as the shit in this movie. How do you fuck up The Little Mermaid this badly?

Everything is going out the window in quality since entertainment starting choosing actors over their skin color or having the “right politics” instead of their talent.

James Woods is a better actor than anyone in Disney these days yet hasn’t found a single job in years since he refused to sell his soul to them.
