Firing Punk on the same day of a WWE PPV is a strong move by TK. No better way to pull focus from any WWE programming. Once the news hit about the firing, Payback fully became an afterthought. Nothing they could do there would be bigger than the firing.

I watched it and it felt like watching the first episode of the anime

It’s generally decent, so infinitely the best shonen anime live action America has produced.

But I don’t blame people for giving hate.

Spoiler

Ussop, Garp, Nojiko and Sanji get shafted as characters. They change Garp as a a character, Ussop gets no real development nor moment of bravery in his own arc. Sanji’s arc is entirely skipped. Nojiko is now dumb and doesn’t know about Nami’s sacrifice.
