It’s because these hacks need to piggyback off famous established IPs like DC, Marvel, or Lord of the Rings because their too lazy to make their own material that would actually be noticed.

They have no creative vision or actual desire for writing a compelling series and characters, they just want to use entertainment as a medium to spew their bile.

Leeching off the success of others and promptly shitting on what once was good as a consequence is the path of least resistance for these bloodsucking parasites of society.
