Hell, Deku doesn't even try on his own initiative to be a hero and just waits for it to be back on his own fucking lap AGAIN, this time by his friends... who barely see him anymore despite it being stated that Crime is the lowest it has ever been.
It's so fucking ridiculous people can't accept why the memes exist but think that Deku doing hero work after he got a new suit is supposed to "save him" when the issue is the motherfucker not making the suit himself or his own initiative at being a hero(Did Horikoshi forget that Deku had to strengthen his own core to use OFA and we clearly see from non-super strength Quirk users that you can be super tough even without it...).
And yeah, great time still not confirming shit because you are somehow still afraid of Izuku x Bakugou shippers losing their shit. For fuck's sake, when Kishimoto and Kubo have far more spine in confirming love interests despite putting in far less of the time that you did while having the same level of fandom overall, you need to stop.
My brother in Christ, that is not why people was shitting on the ending, holy shit. The entire issue with the ending is that Deku lost his powers and fucking NO ONE was going out of their way to help the boy who saved Japan, let alone the entire World from AFO's machinations. Outside of a single fucking boy who ran into him, Deku was somehow treated far worse than Toshinori was post-OFA loss with no one offering sponsorships, using him as the face of the new gen of heroes, no paparazzi and legion of fans, nobody.

That's what is also insane to me. How the fuck is Ochako still thinking of Toga 7 years later in her life as if she's just that much of a monumental figure when she's a fucking murderer!?
All Horikoshi is telling me that either Ochako is in love with Toga and Deku is second place... or Horikoshi is trying his damnest to win over Toga's base completely ignoring his own philosophy that the villains need to be defeated despite them having good points.

It's the same shit with Oshi No Ko and JJK where people have seen so much shit, they think as long as an ending seems good, that's all that matters and not the journey itself that makes the ending that much more special.
It truly speaks volumes that whenever I hear people bitch about Bleach's Manga ending as a defense for JJK's, MHA's and ONK's absolutely shitty endings, atleast we do have the knowledge that it was the fault of Kubo's failing health and he ultimately went back to the drawing board and re-did that entire arc with the help of the anime team. There is nothing for that for any of these endings outside of the Mangaka just not bothering to even try and wrap shit up convincingly in any fashion(Yes, I do know about Gege's health issue at the end of the manga, that doesn't excuse how it was obvious he was done with JJK since The Culling Games) meaning you get these genuinely awful endings that pretend their MCs actually accomplished something but it ends up not mattering at all or ultimately concluding their arc in any meaningful fashion.

I think the Japanese one was just thinking that they didn't need the direct acknowledgement of love considering they'd already kissed earlier so her saying thank you for everything he did seemed fitting enough as a conclusion.
Personally I do prefer the English version there but it's not something I'd get annoyed about. Unlike Lightning Returns English version where the changed/took out Light calling Snow brother which was stupid.
