Yeah I get that here, kind of like Cid Raines in Final Fantasy XIII where he was demoralized into giving up his ambitions when he was made a l'cie. Except there, Raines was inspired by how hard the party fought despite the situation and went for one last act of defiance (of course it would have been better if it ended there but that's neither here nor there), rather than getting frustrated like Jugram. To be fair, it was Bazz's fault but it's pretty obvious in the manga and will be in the anime that Haschwalth... just quit the plan to kill Yhwach because he felt truly valued for once. That and feeling that ultimately Yhwach is just too above him which is why he loses his shit when Uryu can still challenge Yhwach despite the situation he's in.
Like I said before, it's a truly fucked up version of Ichigo and Uryu's friendship at the end of it.
Yeah the issue for me is that it didn't do enough to make me really care about either character and, in light of the fight being kind of meh, it really doesn't deserve the end of cour billling that it's seemingly getting and Kubo/the anime team saying it was a highlight of this cour. The Manga didn't do the best of jobs because again there's only so much past just having Haschwalth bawl his eyes or break his stoicism which honestly wouldn't fit him. Having him stagger up the steps despite Bazz-B barely hurt him, showing he takes awhile to sheathe the Family Sword Bazz gave him alone showed just how much he cared. And while the manga showed bits of it, it didn't really show enough just how much he valued Bazz's friendship to help Uryu at the end of it all.
So ultimately, I do agree and honestly, it's pretty clear that it was never about the fight at the end of it all. Bazz-B stood no fucking chance against Haschwalth and it would be insane to see he can without a Volstandigt especially after an Auschwalen powerup. It was basically that they was friends and shit just went south horribly.
Normally I can be that guy as well, this just didn't work for me.@Adamant soul Well, I can ultimately understand your point but I'll be frank:
I guess I'm just that type of soft guy because it did ultimately hit me in the feels. It wasn't perfect, of course, but it did get me to care for them though.
Well hopefully this suggests that Uryu will indeed be much more involved in the actual final battle with Moustache though it probably means Isshin and Ryuken aren't doing shit unless it's against Gerard or something. But again, I heard the final episode of this Cour isn't Askin vs. Urahara or anything like that but Uryu vs. Haschwalth which... is a choice and a massively lore changing one at that.
Nah it's Lavi's son. He just has Renji paying the child support![]()
Good shit man, like they say though "confidence is a slow and insidious killer" you'll get them next time for sure.@Masterblack06 @Cubey @Adamant soul @Uoruk
Got top 8 at my locals with Ryzeal
Could have made Top 4 if I wasn’t a cocky fool that took my first opponent lightly and misplayed several times that ended up costing me both Game 2 and 3
Anyway: Round 1 was against Fiendsmith Kashtira. Crushed them Round 1, lost the next two games from not focusing, especially when I didn’t bother to read Chaos Angel’s attack power until after I made a board. Looking back, I really could have taken this game if I had been more careful either round
Second game was a bad Exodia player not playing the actual new Exodia cards that make Exodia an interesting deck: just the 5 pieces by themselves, the Morganite cards and a bunch of backrow and stall cards. Crushed em
Third match was Voiceless Voice Fiendsmith. Beat them Game 1, lost both games because both times the *** opened with D-Barrier.
Fucking gay ass card basically makes you skip your turn if you use Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Pendies with almost no way to play around it. Don’t know why this brainless monkey flip bullshit is still at 3
Game 4: My Pure Ryzeal vs Ryzeal Fiendsmith. Crushed him first round, second round I managed to break his board but blew my entire hand to do so and it became a top deck battle from there
Heart of the cards moment where this guy had a Detonator with 3 Materials attached and all I had was an Ice Ryzeal in hand.
Top decked Ultimate Slayer to instantly removed his Detonator and swung for game from there for a 2-0 win
Last dude I played against was a Centur-Ion Fiendsmith Bystial deck. Won Round 1, round 2 opened with only Ash Blossom, couldn’t stop him from going full combo with a bunch of Synchros + Cosmic Blazar and got OTK’d
Game 3, we hand trapped or used each other side deck cards so much, it became by far the grindiest match of the entire tournament.
Think it was like 10 turns before I pulled a win. Even checked my deck afterwards and saw I had no other Ryzeal monsters in deck.
