Amazing Spider-Man Vol 1 3

I'm actually fortunate enough to own this one (found it in the crawl space after thinking it was either lost in a flood or sold by my parents when I was much younger). Need to submit it to the CGC for grading though. Looks vaguely like a 4.0 to me, but I can hardly say I know much about grading. Mostly just commenting based one what others of the same book look like around that grade

Sounds right, I'm just following an excel file about the chronological order of Spidey's continuity myself here (wish it were more current, but I'm hardly going to catch up to 2021 any time soon ). Next should be issue 5 and 6. Then I start on posting Untold Tales of Spider-Man.

If you were to take Johnny at face value about Peter being the fastest he's seen from this issue, who would function as scaling fodder up to this annual?

I think the cement mixer feat is probably worth a look, if only because the sheer velocity he'd be shooting the cement at Johnny at was pretty ridiculous to achieve. Pretty sure cement mixers aren't fucking cannons

Same issue has him stymied by super-glue though, so that's neat too Stan Lee.
