Soulsborne Discussion, Feats & Analysis

What's up with Bayle?
He's the progenitor of the lesser dragons and the one responsible for Placidusax losing his other 3 heads. Though it was apparently an ambush, and Placidusax tore off his limbs in response, and then became super racist after and fomented dragon communion so that Bayle's bloodline would get killed off. I'm not sure what he is though, because he doesn't resemble the Drakes perfectly, like he's something in-between a Drake and an Ancient Dragon somehow. I haven't seen any lore on where he himself came from though

So I guess this confirms that Placidusax wasn't the Storm Lord? Since Bayle was the one who actually mutilated him.

probably although there’s another item mentioning the red dragons using lightning “betrayed their lord to a Tyrant” which I assume means the Golden Order. So Placidusax may have still been the Storm Lord, but ultimately lost to Leyndell because some of his own turned on him? Or yeah maybe the Storm Lord is just some completely different character. Storms are given importance in the DLC though for what it’s worth, they’re some kind of symbol of Heaven

Radahn fight is nice but overall felt underwhelming i expected an different boss at least, with the sales they might think making a second DLC

the cutscene cinematic of miquella extending his hand towards the scadutree and the veil being gone is nowhere to be found. Miyazaki commented on it in an interview though and that trailer is so recent it feels like it can’t be cut content. Hoping it’s just a really obscure secret like Placidusax was

Maybe its a conditional scene that you have to do something specific to trigger

thats what im thinking. in ringed city, even after a full datamine, it took weeks for people to figure out how to get to the purging monument. hopefully its a secret that well layered

more or less?
Radahn is apparently the strongest and kindest guy around, and "Kind Miquella" allegedly lacked kindness according to their remembrance. It's kinda hilarious knowing Radahn was Miyazaki's favorite, it would be borderline mary sue writing except he turned around and had him in this incredibly debatably victimized plotline instead

I...guess? Though the Drakes in general are said to be Bayle's bloodline and Greyoll is clearly a Drake, so Bayle might actually be her father, since Bayle is some kind of quasi-ancient dragon that's in-between the drake and ancient states. He has a fleshy heart instead of one of stone, but also utilizes his own lightning which the Drakes don't do (I know there's one in the dlc that does but that's probably just to do with their ties to Bayle?)

One thing weird is the stone dragon heart says there was an even more ancient form of dragon communion focused on ancient dragons. Makes me wonder if Placidusax started that too in order to hunt down the ancient dragons that betrayed him
