To Aru Majutsu No Index Feats/Discussion/Analysis Thread - One Othinus To Rule Them All

I do wonder if there's going to be actual difficulty in terms of fighting the creatures of hell

because the all-star team in GT11 is crazy, I expect them to just get off-screened or beaten in one page :tupac

Or it could just be like most encounters in the Inferno, where they pass by these creatures without hassle as Kamachi uses Anna / CRC as mouthpieces to infodump them

Lucifer in the original poem in particular has his impotence, mindlessness, and blind hatred emphasized to full effect as a contrast to the Almighty, All-Knowing, and All-Loving God. In this pathetic state of delirium, the poets get through him and out of Hell with no hassle at all.

Lucifer is depicted as so mindless and rage driven that he ignorantly seals his own fate of being forever trapped in his own icy prison of Lake Cocytus he’s already waist deep in with his fruitless attempts to escape.

His ceaseless wing flaps to break himself out only producing the freezing winds that cover the Circle, producing ever more of the very ice that keep both himself and all other sinners he shares that Circle with forever entombed.

A perfect symbol that he only has his own actions to blame for his own damnation.

So all he can do as his own attempt to escape just further damning him is to sit there and wallow in his misery, gnashing away at the 3 worst sinners in the Inferno in the maws of his 3 foul faces

From the images I would tell you that Touma escapes from hell while Ana and CRC stay behind and seeing that there are no images of fights, it is likely that it will serve as a world expansion for future arcs.

Now for the struggles the poets did face

Cerberus did need to be placated to pass through him by feeding him mud

Divine intervention from an angel was required to force the demons to open the gates to the City of Dis and allow the poets through without trouble. Had they not been saved, the Furies that guarded the gates would have set Medusa upon them to turn them into stone and forever ensnare them in Hell.

This emphasizes how even the peak of human reason (Virgil) alone falls before the most malicious forms of sin and can get them no further, that nothing short of God’s Authority and Grace can allow man to traverse the vile inner circles of Hell

And they were double crossed by the Malacoda Demons in Fraud, very much living up to what that circle represents.

I am expecting action and fights to be light here in favor of some much needed world building but I am hoping we might get some new feats for Anna and CRC

“Well, yes. The Qliphoth is a 🗺️ of the entire realm of 👻s and curses, but it is also an access route from hell to earth.”
So if the Qliphoth connects the world to hell, I wonder if the Sephiroth will connect to heaven and if so, how big will the Clonoth tree that Accelerator summoned be?

I thought Toaru would be more metaphysical than just being rehashed parallel universes
Something superimposed over each other where either there is no distance from each other or it's irrelevant.
Kinda like this:

Or like the Zoharic representation of the four worlds

I mean, way I understand it, they are still superimposed in the way that they affect the "world" at large and maybe from the perspective of someone viewing the "world" from the outside, but at the same time, they are also separate physical spaces that one has to travel to, from the perspective of someone within the "world".

RIP to the "phases are all the same place" gang, IG
In addition to the multiversal discussion that is going to come, then the Qliphoth does connect Earth with hell but hell is below all phases, would the Sephiroth be just as big?

Because Accelerator summoned the Clonoth tree and the Coronzon attack travel through part of the Sephiroth....

And another thing is that the trees must be made of the psyche of humanity from each phase, so the feat of crossing the Abyss and that of Accelerator creating the Clonoth should be feats of soul and mind manipulation much better than what I thought.

@NeloAngelo

For the size of the Sephirot, it’s a multiverse spanning tree made up of an untold amount of Phases including Heaven

Aleister’s attempt at banishing Coronzon back to that Abyss of the Sephirot including sending her through multiple Phases

"This is not thy place, but I forbid thee to depart!! I shall now intentionally enact a failed exorcism. Great Demon Coronzon, return to thy rightful world while thy power is torn into the almighty number of 11!!"

Magician Aleister Crowley really did seem to be coughing up blood as she yelled the words.

If you thought of a summoning circle like a warp gate from cheap science fiction, then what would happen if you threw someone into a malfunctioning gate and entered the coordinates using a staticky signal? The power to forcibly send her back between phases would slice Coronzon apart like a wire through a hardboiled egg.

I would like Kamachi to come out a map of his cosmology.

I imagine it as hundreds of millions of multiple layers in the middle and from there come the two trees that one connects with heaven and the other with hell.

I don't think it'd really be that complicated

Sephiroth above

Qliphoth below

and (most) phases would be in the middle (their exact position in the Four Worlds not withstanding)
