All of this is something that hasn't actually happened though, which means you're pre-empting it. Why?If you're town and he's scum it gives you a sense of safety as long as ratchet has your back and is more likely to make you think he's town too. On top of that if you are town and you feel he often town reads you right it's an easy connection to make in your head that he's town too and, as you put it, just found an easy town read to start the game off.
you town read him based on meta of what he wouldn't do as town vs what he might do as scum. the stuff you talked about is specific to mango and what he might do as each alignment.How on earth is that what you took from his post? He said Melkor would be an example of someone who was, in this context, plausibly buddying. What does that have to do with meta?
Your question makes no sense because that's not what Mango was saying, I just explained this to you in the post you quoted and you still are repeating otherwise - do you want to try this again?you town read him based on meta of what he wouldn't do as town vs what he might do as scum. the stuff you talked about is specific to mango and what he might do as each alignment.
there's no reason to assume the same things he might do as town/might do as scum would straight up be applicable to melkor too. hence the question
I also am actually taking my lunch break at 3PM CDT (1 more hour)Luka looks town
I'm saying it's unnecessary explanation. Scum have a habit of announcing pointless periods where they won't be present or excuses for not playing up to par(not saying town never does this but it's more typical of scum). They'll announce they're going to be away but not to worry because they'll be productive upon arrival! It's pre-emptively defending themselves as their sole motive is to survive.

I mean I can definitely vote this way to put pressure, but I think that this is in NAI territory as I could see town do this too - as they announce they've seen the game started but can't participate fully just yet

oh I misreadwhat mel wagon, you quoted a single vote mam.
You keep tying these two things together and I don't know why. Mango wasn't asking about neta specific to him. He was pointing out that Melkor's vote would match the argument of buddying that I was saying Mango wasn't doing. That's where the link between those two things end.because i wanted his thoughts silly
what he was saying isn't relevant to me because what im saying is what happened.
the 'buddying' idea he referenced came from what you said he might do as scum to buddy a player(in this instance it was me). that isn't a general mafia or buddy tell, it's specific to mango. someone saying "hey i think this guy is town so im going to vote alongside him" isn't really a pocketing attempt at all, from my perspective.
I just got mischopped in a turbo gameHavent liked Luka tho
@Luka top 3 gth reads

mango asked about meta when i brought it up to him because what you described to him was your meta of him. i explicitly said that same meta isn't just applicable to melkor, which is precisely what he was stating when he said it looked like the buddying you were describing.You keep tying these two things together and I don't know why. You're looking pretty greasy
How it feels having Ratchet as my lawyer;
I don't know why Scum!Ratchet would go this far to advocate for me, I'd say this is a point in his favor. He could easily gloss over those details.
The way he's going about this seems more in line with what a town would do rather than scum.
And I appreciate he was able to formulate that which I wasn't able to.
I really don't see the point you're trying to make here. The difference between calling somebody town, voting somebody their voting, and not commenting on anything to do with the slot you're voting while also not saying you're actually sheeping the person, not explaining the vote at all and just sheeping a town read while at the same time still trying to generate content is very different. In addition to that, Melkors first post was 100%, undeniably bad. He's assuming that people are going to be busing just from the numbers, which is just. not how busing / the game works in general.Melkor town read me then joined a wagon, which kinda has to happen to make a wagon happen and if you got no other reads why not vote along with someone you think is town. Is this inherently scummy within the first 100 posts of the game?
I'd say ratchet's method was far more likely a pocketing attempt than melkor just saying I'm town considering he stated he's the expert on you. If you're town and he's scum it gives you a sense of safety as long as ratchet has your back and is more likely to make you think he's town too. On top of that if you are town and you feel he often town reads you right it's an easy connection to make in your head that he's town too and, as you put it, just found an easy town read to start the game off.
Or am I wrong here? Others are free to comment as well!
Wait sorry, what?mango asked about meta when i brought it up to him because what you described to him was your meta of him. i explicitly said that same meta isn't just applicable to melkor, which is precisely what he was stating when he said it looked like the buddying you were describing.
You're losing me man, it was quite simple, Melkor's post would appear more to be "buddying", it was a post that was an example of how LM post came across versus what I was doing.right and i agree except the buddying thing you stated mango wasn't doing IS NOT A GENERAL BUDDYING TELL. it is specific to mango. if you still struggle with this it's an issue of reading comprehension.
remember when you talked to yourself and you said you were generating content.I really don't see the point you're trying to make here. The difference between calling somebody town, voting somebody their voting, and not commenting on anything to do with the slot you're voting while also not saying you're actually sheeping the person, not explaining the vote at all and just sheeping a town read while at the same time still trying to generate content is very different. Are you casing Ratchet in additon to that, or just defending Melkor? This reads like both but at the same time you never say anything definitively, also you're not voting Ratchet here despite presuminably casing them quite hard.
