What this tells us is that Manah's magic is what keeps the Sky Fortress aloft and together and her death means its all kinds of fucked
After all, its only after she dies that we're informed that the Fortress is now both "helmless" and lacking someone to control it thus acting as the cause of it falling from the sky and collapsing under its own weight. Manah was the helm of the fortress and she controlled it through her magic.
