The problem is if xadlin isnt the vig then the real vig isn't denying that Xadlin is the vig.

Xadlin can come back and confirm this. But from what I understood it's not really a protection (though it can be used that way). It just sounds like a temporary game removal. No one can target you for the night phase but you wouldn't target anybody either.

I believe Xadlin even said something like that earlier.

So you can't suddenly claim you have results now when you already said you were jailed so you don't have results, earlier.
