Townreading Nibel? I suppose the actions of 3-4 different players voting the slot for seemingly no real reason.

We can sit around all day and say RVS this, RVS that but when 2 of those players vote Nibels after pointing out to other people explicit reasons why not to do it, yeah it makes me think.

On the other hand, if you're scum, Nibels definitely seems like they have scum equity. Your vote on them and swap to Craig was strange. Seemed like a cute D1 minibus that you could even reference a few days later.

In contrast, if Retro is scum, Nibels is probably town here for that strange attempt at whiteknighting.

I'm not sure I see both of you and Retro on a team yet, in fact I doubt it currently.

So personally my thoughts right now are (and I'm gonna @harumi on this), I'd like Retro or Magic gone today.

I wouldn't reference a post 4 vote on anyone as any alignment as I'm well aware it's meaningless unless properly pushed. You didn't really answer my question but I asked about how you approach day 1's because it seems like you're overly fixated on page 1 interactions. It isn't really random voting stage or whatever RVS is, I vote to generate reactions. Nibel gave me none then left the thread so I voted Craig to see the reaction of aurelian and then he also left the thread so again that didn't really turn into much.

You seem like you've landed on a spot on scum reading one of myself.or Retro and your making reasons to make sense of it. Despite this reading nibel doesn't seem important to you even though that should be crucial from your pov as if you think he's scum you'd have more reason to vote me and if you think he's town you have reason to go after Retro. Instead you've decided you want to remove one of us and then seemingly the other while nibel is of no particular concern to you.

I'd like you to explain why this makes sense and if not I'll be pushing you. :)

Not sure of the fluff thing, I can go look at the.recent avatar game to see how he played there but not now as ima gym and that can be a way to kill time at work!

When I said weaker I meant just overall he felt weak in his last game as town cop.early.on compared to the one where he fought ratchet off page 1.

Sup. I'm gonna be on vacation soon with family from Friday to Monday and i've got a 12-8 at work tomorrow. But i'll still try to make the most of my time with you guys

I have a bit of knowledge on the flavor so i'd like to do a few predictions for the scum team's abilities.

Yanagi: Poisoner. Obvious, his whole thing is poison in the series. From what I remember how poisoning works in mafia, it's usually a delayed kill.

Dorian: Redirector, maybe? I remember aside from fighting dirty, hypnosis being a major ability of his.

Speck, and Sikorsky: I have no idea tbh. Speck's whole thing is being able to hold his breath really long so he can continuously combo his attacks without interruption. And Sikorsky's thing is his immense gripping power letting him climb pretty much any surface.

She seems like her usual self so far.

Yeah, that's fair. I do remember him slapping Sikorsky and Yanagi's shit in that arc.

It's like I said. She seems like her usual self. Tbf I did take a bit of a hiatus from Mafia, so this is just vibes. But the caffeine thing definitely reminded me of how she's talked about playing while drunk or on drugs before lol.

Only thing I guess I would add is she can at times go into a bit of a conspiracy rabbithole. But we're still early on and have no info so i'd expect that more from her later in the game.

I think if all the convicts are included but not all five are mafia, then Doyle could be town. He got pretty much the closest thing to redemption of any of the convicts by the end of the arc (unless you want to count the Sikorsky and Gaia spinoff manga lol).

And the scum team is called "Most Evil Death Row Convicts" so it makes sense for the least evil of them to be excluded.

Not sure who all three of who is. Anyway, you, Retro and Jinri did I thought. Maybe Jinri just said they wanted to.

I didn't make reasons up to scumread either of you. Your slots both gave me that, like it or leave it. Nibble can be town or scum here, I'm not sure which currently because up until just now I've had to analyze how other slots were interacting with it. In fact, the two scenarios I outlined generally keep the other (you or Retro) alive because it seems odd for you two to both be scum here.

The way I play D1 is that I make a list of all the players and everyone gets subtracted out of it in one way or another. At the end I have a small pool and somebody goes poof. I'm not even close to having subtracted out all players to feel confident in a lynch rn. 3 of the low posters just got on lmao.

But yes, you and Retro are still in there and I'm not sure why that bothers you so much.

I agree with this. The only thing I liked was that it did seem like genuine excitement in knowing the flavour of the game and then throwing out potential mafia roles/character combinations based on what he knows. Came off as towny opposed to like someone that is trying to look good off inflatef post count.

The former. If someone is just talking about setup talk the entire time they're more than likely to be scum. There are some exceptions(I believe rej did it on a game on here but he didn't exclusively hunt off setup).

Setup spec is a way to hide behind pushing silly shit or switching positions on a wagon with little to no thought required in terms of scum/town motivations.
