I would expect scum to act with more self preservation, especially that there should be more than 1 so it is not like Xadlin is on his own.
He is still a scum lean at this stage though, POE is gettting smaller and smaller.
Speaking of confident, I also sometimes withhold Poses (regardless of my level of certainty surrounding slots I scumread) because I'm waiting for this very scenario to happen
By leaving it open and showing some vulnerability in my reads, it translates as "she must be easily pocketable and nervous over fucking the game over, let's increase the paranoia over remaining townread slots tenfold"

You're town, Ratchet is actually wolf the entire time and Hime did get it right and I overlooked and miscleared his own slot because he decided to operate on my level and pave room for error by lynching Evans in order to gain further credibility
The likelihood of the latter? Slim to none, Ratchet isn't as patient as that and patience is required to pull off pulling that amount of strings just so he wouldn't be suspected all in order to avoid suspicion from previous slots
This isn't a 5D world I live in, the day that happens I'll give my first born to the scum player who found the idea of toying with people's reads doing these elaborate tricks even if they're in a really good position to end the game early a player I may have to low-key wonder is a sociopath or WAD's child he doesn't know about

He doesn't strike me as one who would also worry himself over mechanics, either
And the arguments based mostly on the conventional, logical conclusion toward him don't really necessarily apply - so him voting and not helping himself is mostly because he just straight up lacks self-preversation
If he's, like, essentially working solo he's going to give off this same thing as scum, too
I am sure his mates have felt similarly to how town feels playing with him because no one can get a good grasp on the dude
