Did you listen to the video? It all but states that the Age of Piracy happened when Capitalism existed and the Pirates are all but stated to be Freedom Fighters... when the actual Pirates was not only Thieves, not only was basically was also used by those very same Governments "That caused Tyranny and Exploitation around the globe" but also engaged in Capitalism themselves to sell off their stolen goods for money and booze.

Which is funny because the group they blame in the game, the Dutch East India Company, was not even exactly "Capitalist", which itself is a Socialist word used to attack the system we call the Free Market, but more what others call mercantilism.

And what makes an opening narration just minor? Because that's easy for you to downplay it's words? If a game set in the Middle Ages used the line "In the age when the world was believed to be flat" in it's narration would you just say it was a "mere narration"? because if so you would be ignoring that such a way of thinking was completely wrong and just another example of fictional stories getting in the way of reality because so many idiots today think that everyone thought the Earth was flat in the Middle Ages when we have evidence that every major scientist and geographer of the time still thought of it as round. It's thanks to books such as those made by Washington Irving that were meant as fiction that such a lie became mainstream and influenced real life to the point people thought it real. With that example, why should we not criticize a "mere narration" for stating another lie, the lie that "Capitalism" led to the age of Piracy flourishing?

I prefer to see the whole picture (or in this case the game) first rather than judging from mere 30 sec of the opening

Always annoy me some person that brings bussiness/market behavior and calls it "capitalism" :smh


No commie some company being greed shitters is not "capitalism" its just bussinessman, these companies are even anti-capitalist iwth how much they oppose free market and private property with their live services and shit

What makes you think I will buy the game? Said game isn't to my liking (prefer city building or RTS).

Just asking what the meme all about and you believed that I somehow itching for an agrument
